I don't have the patience to look up all of the Surf teams, but I can say they are getting killed in the 03 boys EDP league. One score was 12-0.

Surf made a mistake putting their teams in high edp divisions, many seem to be getting their asses kicked on the field. It's Surf's fault, they got in bed with Larry and now have cooties so good players are avoiding the club.

That team is in the 2nd division and got their azzes handed to them by two mediocre CT teams. I did read somewhere else that another team was losing by massive margins

Surf did well this past weekend in NY Cup play - lots of wins and a tie...one of their boys teams beat EFCW Boys 07...impressive.

Too soon to tell - they did have some EDP D1 wins...

Not true across the board, older girls flocking to them since they got into Disney, CASL, etc. and SUSA, HBC and NYSC didn't. Showcasing is clearly their strong point.

When you say flocking to them, are you suggesting that people are leaving their teams mid-Season once the accepted teams were posted?

And it does appear SUSA has teams in CASL. I have nothing to do with any of those clubs, but the above statement is not accurate.

We played a very strong NYSC girls team over the weekend. Very technical. Not too athletic though. I'm not sure if they are athletic or just didn't show it because we were downright awful and they didn't need to be athletic. This team could easily hold their own as an ECNL A or B team.

Our asst coach coached the game and coached it differently than the head coach would have done so. The asst coach didn't have the defense contain but instead had them play up high. WTH!! You don't play that way with a strong team and fast forwards. My kid went ballistic as soon as the car doors were shut. We eventually agreed we probably would have lost anyway but not in the blowout as in this game.

We did lose 1/3 of our team due to age, moved several B team players up who were in age, and our best player to an ECNL squad. We aren't that bad but you never would have known it watching this game. We looked the Twins Single A farm team playing the Cubs.

OMG seriously? 07's are U10. That's not even DA. It's ulittles, half of which won't be playing soccer 2-3 years from now.

I always thought of NY Surf as a girls club because those are the parents salivating at the chance to get into the various tournaments that the San Diego club gets into. All about exposure and edge with college.

We should start a thread where each week we can post the results of ALL of their teams in all of their leagues. They've spread across so many leagues at this point that it's impossible to guage how well their master plan is working out ... and since their website is silent on this issue it falls on us as volunteers to do so.

                      So I propose:
                      - a dedicated thread where we just post the scores

                      Simple entries like:

                      G03 Long Island - EDP North 2 - wins 5:1
                      B03 Westchester Raptors - WYSL premier - ties 2:2

Then anybody who might be researching the club for purposes of joining could look more deeply if they wish. Or they could just email LM and get the scoop (ha ha).

Go for it. We can do tournament scores too. It works also be nice to know which teams came over from other places or if they are brand new teams.

I don't understand why Surf is so pumped to be going to CASL and Disney when the don't have any kids listed on TDS for commitments. You'd think SD Surf would be advising them.

No shame in losing to that team. They are the younger half of the team that won state cup and was runner up at npl nationals last year. Very technical and very smart players. Pretty athletic too, lots of speed.
Good luck in your other cup games.
