There is no chance that Surf can proceed legally against the coach. If they could have is one thing, but now that LM acted as a proxy for putting all of this out in public they're beat.

Maybe they'd be better off suing BOTN and LM himself for tampering with their case, because I can't imagine he has written direction from Surf to give details or publish any of their paperwork on the site. At the very lkeast it could free them from whatever contract they have with BOTN, could basically put a bullet in that site and allow them to market the club better elsewhere.

Yes of course he is. But would Surf really let him publish it? Is suspect he's run amok just because it's in his nature. I run my own business and deal with contracts all the time, some of which have turned ugly. I'm not going to "leak it" 9like BOTN is the freaking Washington Post lol) to anyone. I'll deal with it through attorneys and the courts if need be. I would gain nothing and could damage my companies reputation in the process.

If LM had an ounce of integrity, he'd tell everyone that Surf's willingness to share part/all of any contract the sign without the permission of everyone that signed it, is a clear indication that their leadership should be heavily questioned.

Larry just admitted he will only publish a cease and desist letter, not a contract. Duh. Still don't think a judge will be amused with this stunt if Surf pursues litigation.

Bigger issue for Surf is naming 3 town clubs. That should worry any town clubs they are currently affiliated with, very aggressive naming community non-profits even if they're not potential litigants.

I think a lot of people will have to re-think theircurrent and potential relationships with Surf after this debacle.

While I am not a lawyer, common sense would seem to say releasing information and being complicit in the public commentary about someone can only increase the risk that an error is made or something is said that could damage your case or lead to a counterclaim. Plus this model of operating could give pause to potential future employees, business partners or players/ families.

NY Surf has to be the most unprofessional amateur sporting program in the US. This is a complete disgrace and I don't know or care about this situation at all. I wonder in SD Surf will have anything to say about this. Just unreal.
