Correction. Her old team was U15 NYPL last year but will be U17 NYPL 2000 this year. The girl herself is a 2001. The age group change strikes again.

I don't know the individuals. I just think it's getting really close. We know her year, position, club, etc.

It's a nice story and acknowledges what we suspected but let's be careful with the personally identifiable information.

I have to admit I don't get identifying a player by club/jersey # after a certain age anymore. Got Soccer and ECNL have rosters with all identifying information and anyone can look it up. TDS, Soccerwire, and Big Apple name players and often include a picture. Parents are happy to see their kids name in a newspaper announcing little Lionel scored x amount of goals in a win over so-and-so. I'd like to compliment an opposing player online if I can't say something in person. And I'd like to warn other peeps about nasty players trying to break my kids ankles.

It's 2016. This board has shown folks can look up anything these days on the Internet. And I'd like to think we are different and can be civil about what we post.

My understanding is they were waiting for a GDA response before finalizing a ECNL submission. Something about the politics may interfere with the two applications. But time will tell. The club is the club but the kids are good kids who were looking for a better coaching staff than Alby was offering with their outdated coaching approach. --- Screaming at young girls.

I'd expect Surf to either try again for the GDA for the following year .... or try for an ECNL spot this year or maybe next.

The ECNL application itself has more interesting information, like an annual 4K membership fee.

They'll use their success out West as the basis for being granted the badge here. ECNl has plenty of politics. Don't be shocked when they get it, especially since ECNL is battling it out with GDA and needs to keep as many clubs under the fold as possible.

None of the other Surf affiliates have ECNL badges. Island Surf could get one with their recent GNT players though.

I'm surprised PDA Florida hasn't tried for ECNL.
