Surf's home base is LI but they only have full teams in all age brackets in Westchester.

    It seems haphazard and misguided.
That was an earlier point they weren't following a road map from 18 months. They are like a puppy being distracted

The roadmap was that a couple of fathers wanted their own club and hooked up with SD Surf to make it happen. Since then it has been a haphazard crapshow as they were talked into massive expansion by LM.

Dump point - with Surf involved they certainly had more involved than the couple of people who architected the new unproven entity at NYSCE and the couple of people who planned the disastrous SUSA merger. Do you really think all of these NY clubs who launch or merge are setup like massive corporations with layers of people in some M&A clean room? Stop drinking its not even noon.

Are the lines about the coaches (-1) without licenses true?
According to the NY Surf website,
Coach Arenas, the father, is a USSF "C" license candidate.
Coach Jean, the son, holds an NSCAA Director of Coaching diploma and is a USSF "C" license candidate

What's interesting is that over at NYSC there's another Arenas who holds a USSF B Coaching License.

All 3 have FC Westchester backgrounds, so go figure.

2 of those Arenas are on the boys side. You'd have a much effective argument by pointing out the coaches for the girls side and their credentials:

            Feinstein - USSF A
            Clinton - USSF B
            Callisto/Callisto - none listed

We're there any girls coaches pre-Surf who had (listed) credentials?

They want Full-time coaches too. Clinton is not.

Feinstein and Clinton are college coaches. Can either be "full-time" Surf?

Maybe the Girls DOC will be full time. I'm assuming Surf is waiting for the moving van's doors to be shut before announcing who that high profile person is.

Are the Trustee's Westchester as well? Any background info on them?

What makes you think moving will be necessary?

NY Surf said they were planning on bringing in coach(es) outside the area.

If you give me the list of trustees I can tell you if they're local or not. The predecessor club, with 6 teams, just had some local neighbors on the board.

Was in Mamaroneck today and stopped by the NY Surf camp. I counted 14 kids - ranging in age from what looked like 8 to 14. I watched for around 10 minutes. Boiling hot turf field. Coaches were sitting in the shade under a tent and had the kids carry these metal lacrosse goals around the field, apparently for some drills the coaches had in mind.

                            A disaster.

Maybe they'll have more next week. 14 seems awfully low.

                              Was Feinstein and Arenas there?

You gotta start somewhere. I thought more would be there given Larry's hype.
