At some point parents need to be realistic that maybe their daughters were never as good as they thought and this coach sees it for what it is. Experience of losing and a losing culture does not translate to leadership when this program has not succeeded in some time. Once again you want to circumvent the coaching staff and ask the players what they think should be done. That “ship has sailed” with a new coach making there stamp on the team. Those days of running to the AD are over. At some point this crowd need to stay far away. Sorry for being truthful.
That ship may have sailed, but it is dragging an anchor. Plenty of time to catch up unless you came into preseason out of shape shape, then all is lost.

There were definitely a few players who were on the pine most likely due to fitness. Lobster is great for you in the off-season.

Unfortunately some parents do not understand the leap from high school/club soccer to college. They see it as U19. The commitment to the college program is another level of fitness and conditioning. If you want to play in college being in “club shape” is not good enough to this next level. Coaches that see players not in shape means they did not play, train or work out over the summer. That is a clear message to the coaching staff about your commitment. At most programs if a player fails the fitness test in the preseason they are not allowed to train till they pass the test. That’s college soccer.

The program isn’t fully funded. Trying to do more with less. Get more scholarships and raise level. Nonsense on a chat board , hashtags on social media and t shirts won’t cut it. It’s just business. Last year’s grads which were recruited by Leigh Howard were all ECNL kids but with Covid and injury they never delivered. Hopefully the tide turns and the program finds higher ground. Last few years have been rough

Give it 2 more recruitment years to clear out those players just not good enough when they got there and then the coach will have a clue.

Parents don't help their children by being their voice in competitive college sports. If they are on the bench there is a good reason. I know my child isn't playing for a strong program but they are there to work and it's my job to not contact the coaching staff or athletic program or school.

Being on the bench now is an ALL TIME LOW. mAriSt is at an all time low rankings. AS if it mattered, and does it?

Sour grapes right now for many Dads who bothered the athletic staff.

Being on the bench means the player is not good enough! Coaches get paid to win and unless the player is good enough to help them win then they are on the bench. Parents with a club mentality who have lived vicariously thru their daughters club soccer do not want to accept this reality. If your daughter is on the bench then they have not played well enough at training or pre-season. The reason this college is at an all time low rankings is because the roster is just not good enough.

If Marist's rankings drop by less than 15 they will be THE WORST ranked team in ALL OF D1 soccer. Can you imagine having a daughter on that team and she sits the bench as a senior. Thats an all time CT (Clearly Terrible) low.
