Can a player hold a card for 2 different clubs in same league simultaneously and play for both clubs ? If not what is the punishment and who to contact if a team is breaking the rule

Guest players are always allowed, especially where tournaments are concerned. It is legal.

Let me guess - some other team beat your kid's team with possibly a questionable player (and you don't know for certain) and you're upset about it. Stay out of it. Snitches get stitches.

I know in tournaments it's allowed. Lijsl it doesn't really matter either. I mean in league play where refs check cards like nycsl. As an example can my child play for barca one game and then susa the next. Wouldn't they need to hold cards for both clubs which I'm not sure is allowed. I've heard teams can get in big trouble for that

            It's a little complicated.

Normally a player holds only a single ENY pass and they can use that pass to play in any ENY league for that club. They could play for a clubs LIJSL team, its EDP team and its NYCSL (NYCL?) team all at the same time.

An exception was made for kids that also play for select teams (former DA program, rough riders, etc). A player may hold a second ENY pass for those teams.

When EDP took over region one an additional exception was granted by ENY to allow kids to hold a pass in one club for regular travel, such as LIJSL, as well as holding a second pass from another club for it's EDP team. And here is the important part. In this dual pass setup, the club who registered him to play LIJSL may ONLY use that pass for LIJSL and the club who registered him to play EDP may ONLY use that pass for EDP. The pass is no longer universal within the club.

Under no circumstances and with no exceptions may a player hold passes for two different clubs to play in the same league. A player cannot play EDP for two different clubs nor can a player play LIJSL for two different clubs. This is a very serious violation that will see coaches, teams and clubs sanctioned.

You cant be carded within the same system twice. SO you cant hold two US Club cards or two USYS cards. I think you could get away with getting one US Club and anotehr USYS, as long as the teams dont find out/care.

That is correct. A player can be carded in two different leagues and play for two different teams.

Add to that: some leagues allow for a player to play on two teams within the SAME club, like one who goes between A and B teams, or older/younger if they are age appropriate. But no you can't play for two clubs under the same league umbrella. NEeds to be a different unbrella

You can hold two USYS cards. About 20 people in my club do. ENY allows you to hold one pass for your regular travel club playing in leagues like LIJSL while also allowing you to hold a second pass for a different club to play EDP. The problem is when the player attempts to play LIJSL for both clubs or EDP for both clubs, using those two passes. That is not allowed.
