These league is nonsense. Take the slammers for example. They are playing lijsl, then trying to put teams together for this league and charging susa money to be a part of it. Why wouldn't they just play nycsl like all of the really competitive clubs, prove themselves there locally instead of traveling to NJ every weekend

Because it's the only way they can get new players to join them.Amazing how quickly they dump their own loyal Smithtown customers.

Not true. My kid plays for Slammers. There are only 2 kids that came over from Smithtown, which was their choice - they could have stayed at Smithtown if they wanted. 4 kids joined from tryouts, and the rest are former Cosmos DA players who wanted to stay together. We went to NJ twice in 2020-2021 season, CT once. Other than that never left the island between home games, Gottschee, and Met Oval. I don't know exactly what SUSA charges, but from what I gather, it is significantly more that what we pay. It's nice that you have your opinion, but try to base it on actual knowledge next time.

My friend used to play for slammers. Was paying $2800. Susa is 3k. That's very similar and they didn't do any tournaments. 8 games a season, half the games were away in NJ and CT. He left because he said it sucked and def wasn't worth it

So slammers are now the equivalent to top susa teams. That's hysterical

And what travel? All tournaments are included. No club includes travel, whatever that means. Like hotels?

No, not the equivalent. Except for ECNL (which is really Albertson anyway) the SUSA boys teams suck. There aren't any top SUSA teams.

                    1) No one you know played for Slammers. You don't have friends.
                    2) Don't know why your "friend" payed $2800. No one else did. Maybe your friend is stupid.
                    3) SUSA is not 3K it is way more than that, so quit being a dick.
                    4) Yeah, SUSA goes to a lot of tournaments - the ones run by SUSA where only SUSA teams register so they just play other SUSA teams. But hey, it's included in the cost.
                    5) Yeah, it's even more awesome to pay that kind of money for an "elite" club like SUSA (lol) so you can never leave the island and play against powerhouse clubs like RVC and King's Park in EDP - who pay less than half the cost of you SUSA *******s to play in the same ****ing league.
                    6) My friend said you suck and it definitely wasn't worth it.

No, like the space shuttle. Yes, hotels, gas, tolls, meals, having to stop and buy batteries because the ones in your wife's vibrating butt plug died. You know, the usual stuff.

Um yeah 09 boys and yes was 2800. Slammers must really do well in the MLS Next 2 league, aka the "B" league aka elite academy joke league lol. How the hell does an lijsl team somehow get so so good that they can now compete highly in this bs MLS league and think they are better then local clubs. Maybe it's all an illusion to stay away from these clubs so people think they are good. Pure joke

                          A League = MLS Clubs
B League = all the rest of the MLSNext clubs' "A" teams
C League = all the MLSN "B" teams

Many if not most of those C tams are no better than ECNL or a solid EDP team. Don't fall for the "pathway" BS, especially if your kid is <14. It's just another way to take your money. Find the best coaching in your area that fits your budget and time. If they've got the goods and a good work ethic to make a better team in middle school then think about moving them up.

09 Boys hahahahahahahahaha. What age was that? U12? I wasn't even counting that, it's still 9v9. I can say factually, without it being an opinion, that no LI Slammers team from 2007 up has ever been an LIJSL team. No, not better than all local clubs, but definitely better than the one your kid plays for, which I'm sure is an even bigger joke club in an even bigger joke league. Shut the **** up, you ****ing tool.

SUSA's top teams make you travel a LOT compared to all the other local teams, so its no small commitment. You have no choice either, if you don't go you won't be playing much at all (assuming you actually do get playing time). Just doesnt seem to make sense to me. If your kid is good enough to make the SUSA ECNL team at U14, then o.k. maybe it makes sense IF your kid wants as many opportunities to play beyond HS as possible, more likely it is you who wants them to play past HS though, what the kid really wants never enters into it, does it?

Trust me, was not equating top SUSA teams with the slammers! just correcting false information about SUSA costs.
