    Manhattan Ajax u17 boys parents

This group really takes the cake for obnoxious parents. They taunt players from the opposing team and I even saw one of the mom's walk alongside the AR during the game dressing him down and wagging her finger at him. What a deplorable group of parents. As one of our players said, if our parents behaved that way our coach would ban us from the sidelines and the boys would be ashamed.

The Ajax parents are a little out of control at most games. My son's team plays them all the time because we are two of the better teams in New York. I must say that I agree with you on these parents actions on the sidelines. They seem to care more about the outcome of the game then the kids do.

I'll give you if...if your kids played as well as ours, your coach would be doing back flips. Your anonymous forum posting makes you just as obnoxious.

and if you had a pair, you would be a man.

Lots of coaches doing backflips at Region 1?

I learned soooo much about Ajax at Region 1. Here are a few things:

            1. every team in the boys u17 bracket HATES them. Well, it's really the parents they hate; not the players. It was the most discussed item on the sidelines amongst multiple teams and not just a few coaches.
            2. parents from other boys u17 teams watched Ajax and cheered against them.
            3. the players are ashamed and embarrassed by their parents abhorrent behavior.
            4. the parents taunt players from their opposing team even after cautions from the refs.
            5. most teams took the time to comment that they were glad Ajax was knocked out.

There is more but these are the major points.

They have the same reputation here in NY. The kids are great and they get along with a lot of the teams that play them a lot. It's just the parents that ruin this teams reputation, and its sad how bad it makes them look.

How about that fat shrieking lady from Ajax? What's her problem? She sounds like an insane shrew.

The parents on that team clearly have problems, but we need to remember that it's about the boys. Are any of the Ajax kids committed to college yet?

True story. Ajax v NEFC this past weekend. Ajax mom passes out on sidelines - it's hot and she's carrying on like a nut and goes down like a sack of potatos. Two NEFC dads assist her and offer water. Ajax mom starts screaming "don't touch her. you're not one of our families" and starts screaming for the referee and field marshall. Husband of passed out Ajax mom comes running over, grabs water from NEFC dad's hands and throws it at him. NEFC dads walk away and one goes to next field as he was about to be ejected by AR. I came to scope the Ajax/NEFC game guessing our guys might play them later in the tournament. Could NOT believe my eyes or ears. You can be sure I was the first person to the field marshall to explain the NEFC dads were assisting the woman who had passed out, likely from the heat and her passionate rooting for the Ajax team.

The Ajax parents should have been THANKING these guy, not throwing water at them and screaming for the AR and field marshall. With the heat as high as it was, this woman could have been having heat stroke - a fatal condition if not treated promptly.

To clarify... Did the Ajax father think the NEFC dad did something to the woman to cause her to collapse? It sounds like this is the case.... But just checking....

Not sure how he would think that considering several people, myself included, told him and others involved that the NEFC dads were HELPING her after she passed out. It looked to me as if the Ajax folks were looking to make a scene. I spoke with one of the NEFC dads after (wanted him to know he did the right thing) and two other Ajax parents came to apologize to him and tell him they knew he was trying to help this woman. They said there is a bad element on their sideline and this poor guy got caught in their buzzsaw. So, I guess not all the parents on that sideline are badly behaved.

Shocking behavior by these parents. Shocking.

I feel bad for the sane parents on this team...and there are a few. Skinny COW in big hat is
an embarrassment to "soccer moms" everywhere. She will leave a bad taste in our mouths
for years to come. And best of luck to her son (won't publish his number or name). Please rise above your insane parent and lead a good life. Hope you have other adults in your life you can emulate.

We all know the Ajax parents are crazy, but at this point in the boys lives they should be trying to narrow down college choices. Does anyone know where any of these kids are going to college? A lot of DAP kids and some Non-DAP kids are already committed. With the Ajax being number 1 in the country they should have some as well.
