As someone outside the club, I kind of disagree. We have been to Super Copa twice and it is a great event. Best youth teams in the country attend and the games are the most competitive you will find. I will say however that was the only event we traveled for with the exception of Jeff Cup. Super Copa is much much better though. IMO anything more than those two events is a bit extreme for these age groups. Make no mistake though, if you are one the top teams in country, Super Copa is definitely worth it. Anyone who says differently is ignorant in their own right.

But yeah, Florida, Chicago, Jeff Cup and Super Copa for 7v7 or 9v9 is a bit much.

If it is to be believed from the other threads that MFS didn’t even come close to topping PDA 2011’s seems foolish to travel to super copa when there are local town teams and Academy teams that they can not beat. Not knocking them for going, just really don’t understand the logic. Jeff Cup for 7v7 is stretching it, but Dallas seems silly.

Yes, I posted that opinion and agree about the 2011s. 7v7 is a bit much for Dallas however I believe the 11s will actually be doing 9v9. Perhaps they learn an important lesson in their travels. RT will probably have them doing 11v11 next year, lol.

I will say I will be surprised if the 09s lose.

Agree on Supercopa, but the 09s didn't play 9v9 in Chicago or at Jeff Cup and they were U11s when they went to Disney so they would have had to play up two years to play 11v11.

When half the team is burnt out by 13 is it still worth it?

There are plenty of other options out there for families and players who don't like to leave the region to play in tournaments.

My son went to Supercopa when he was 11 yo and he said it was the best tournament he has played in. The competition level and tournament organization is second to none. He made some friends from west coast and midwest teams that he keeps in touch with and is planning to do camps with this summer. Good luck to the local teams traveling to Supercopa.

I’ve heard it’s the most organized & best run in the US
Top tournament in the country. Lost of college scouts looking for players at the U12 age group. 😘😂

My son played in the U11 bits bracket of Supercopa two years ago. While there, Maurizio Sarri recruited him to play for Chelsea.
