    Prep School options

Are local soccer players considering prep schooling for a year due to scholarship shortages?
In football prepping for a year to earn a scholarship is a common practice.
Many schools are bringing seniors back another year which limits new scholarship offers.
Just curious if this is catching on or not?

          Sucking it up.

Don't do a PG year in the hopes of getting some or any scholarship dollars or improve your recruiting odds. If you're not getting anywhere with recruiting then you need to readjust the programs you are targeting - you're aiming too high. Do a PG year if you need to bring your grades up or another year to mature,.not for sports. Also consider the cost. Unless you're a stud you won't get much $ so that's big $ that can go to your college fund.

Going pro or becoming an assistant coach at Rutgers is the next best thing.

I know SALA has a post grad program. Don't know much about it but I am pretty sure it wouldn't take away any eligibility for college like going to a junior college would.
