Is FCV that good or CSA Monmouth that poor? The two clubs used to play much more competitive matches in the DA days. That’s a combined 30-4 for the weekend.

    08 - FCV 3 - CSA 0
    07 - FCV 5 - CSA 0
    06 - FCV 3 - CSA 0
    05 - FCV 4 - CSA 0
    04 - FCV 5 - CSA 0
    02/03 - FCV 10 - CSA 4

Why is FCV not making a move to ECNL to play more competitive league matches?

Maybe you should go tryout for FCV? I heard it’s a good fit for troll gypsies

Our state's two top academies had lost weekends.

Very biased refereeing down there and brutally hot conditions. Different weekend much closer outcome. FCV is not even that good.

CSA needs to upgrade their training staff.

Looks like it was a tough day for CSA. Results from two weeks ago against same club in NJ (5/23):

              08 - FCV 3 - CSA 0
              07 - FCV 3 - CSA 0
              06 - FCV 2 - CSA 2
              05 - FCV 5 - CSA 0
              04 - FCV 3 - CSA 4
              02/03 - FCV 1 - CSA 2

FCV is a very good club and CSA took its lumps today.

                The referees were the difference

Just curious. Did you see any of the games live?

                  Thank you in advance.

They had very competitive matches with FCV in the USSDA days. Has the coaching staff turned over as CSA since then?

Very lucky bounces for FCV especially in the 10-4 game. Couple bounces here and there and that game could easily have been 10-8.

Do not blame the club for what has happened since the GDA imploded. They had a more competitive club across all ages and would routinely beat or tie FCV. Since then the overall level of play in the new league has gotten worse top to bottom. The bottom of the league is horrendous. To the point that they would be EDP D2/3. CSA is doing a nice job in the GA holding their own but against one of the few remaining top clubs in GA (like FCV) the gap has actually gotten wider.

Agree this has more to do with the league rather than the club. We are at PDA now and played FCV with CSA right before the shutdown in the last year of DA. Very competitive game 4-3, back and forth, toe to toe. Lead changes, great spirit from both sides and a good overall battle. To see the same team now lose 5-0 and 4-0 to the same FCV team is actually sad. Hope they are able to close the gap again.
