Part of my D moving to a club was her town constantly canceling practices because half the girls played lacrosse or softball and then we would show up to games with no subs. I could never understand parents who make their kid join a team and then proceed to not show up to the games and practices. Other kids got cut who would have been committed to coming to everything. WHen we didnt even know if the town had enough players for the next year, we just jumped to a club because it was more comnsistent.

Which of those beats GA clubs on the regular? Real? Who has only played CSA. Maybe PSC u18s who have a sub .500 record vs ECNL and GA which is better then the other age groups. Wall and Howell...HA

GA is worse than EDP competition wise. Who would want to play GA teams other than comparably bad GA teams?

Wall and Howell are not good anymore...all their top players already left to CSA, PSA etc.

Crap kick and run town soccer run by a bunch of amateurs. The pro academies like CSA, PSA, MFA offer much better options than teams run by unlicensed parents that haven’t a clue.

Bingo....Wall destroyed Baltimore Celtic GA not long ago who in turn destroyed CSA GA. They won’t even accept facts as proof that EDP>GA.

Wall is good. There’s no disputing that.

Glad that some are actually knowledgeable and truthful enough to realize that USYS D1 has better clubs/teams than the NJ GA clubs. These are the same clowns that constantly put down parent coaches, volunteers etc.

Can we all agree that there are some quality town/club/academy teams as well as some average town/club/academy teams..

If you want to play against anyone in your age group regardless of what league you play in ask your trainer/coach to schedule a friendly or find a tournament they are going to be playing in.

The best recruiting tool for town/club teams is wins against academy teams!!

Town teams "recruit" players from the local elementary school and rec programs. They need to luck out to get a full set of players (at least 8 at the younger ages and then 11 at the older ages) that happen to be athletic and have a desire to play at a high level in order to have a chance to beat academy teams. Sometimes it works out, but more often than not there are a few players who end up losing interest and the team falls apart by 8th grade.

                          They sure did:

Baltimore Union 05 beat CSA 3-2 and the Baltimore Union 06 beat CSA 3-0. Wall 06 beat Baltimore Union 2-0 and the Wall 05 tied Baltimore Union 1-1. Translation = Town Soccer > GA. Save your $$$ folks.

Because 1 team won over another, that makes a league better. No wonder your D sucks.

Far too many parents think this way. One kid's experience isn't even representative of the whole team's experience, let alone club or league.

Lol beating GA clubs is nothing to brag about. Better competition in USYS as a whole. But yeah enjoy beating and tying mighty Baltimore. They are not a good club.
