It is a great program. We did it as a supplement to existing GA club training and very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the training and the aggregate talent.

Except there are no Olympic or National scouts at the ODP games.

The only identification is “parents who want to overpay for poor training” label assigned to those who are selected.

Even if they have high level players from GA, ECRL, EDP etc.? Why do they have Olympics in the name if that has nothing to do with it? Seems misleading.

Agreed,it is misleading. Some ODP coaches are great though , more experienced and better than Ecnl coaches.

Not at this level but you have to start somewhere. Still better then sucking your coaches knob so your kid can be selected for the id clinic.

ODP has some of the best coaches around better than ECNL and GA. They have very high licenses.

So, how did Jersey do this weekend? Ds team went 1-1-1 and another at her age group went 2-1.

My daughter plays for jersey 08. They lost to the Philly team. Most of the players were from FB and Fc delco. Pa teams were stronger maybe they had different players than last Monday .

Philly 08 was scheduled for 3 teams and EPA lists 2 but they brought 1 large team to Eastern Regionals. They weren't that good but had fresh legs at every point in the game. From what I understand they ran through all 3 games with out issue because of this.

I saw a handful of the 2009 Girls games. The NJ teams more than held their own.

Considering the time it took them to decide on teams it may be awhile.
