    Player Pool Question

My daughter plays for an academy B team that does not have enough players to field a team for next year. They are deciding to go with a player pool system where they will bring down kids from the A team to fill the roster each game. She likes it there and wants to stay but she has an opportunity to go play on another academies A team. I would like her to leave as it seems like a disaster waiting to happen if she stays. Has anyone had an experiences with these player pool systems?

always play for another clubs A team over a B team when both clubs A team play in the same league. no brainer.

pool systems are set up as a way to take in extra income when a team cannot field an A and a B team. better to have 21 tuition payments than 15.

Thank you. I feel the same way. It is a shame since my daughter likes it there. Thanks again

On the flip side more games for the A player that help the B

Most player pools after 7v7 don't end well. Too much opinion in making decisions, too much parental/kid judging each other and creating drama. Your case is pretty unique but how can an academy not field a second team? That in of itself seems pretty suspect...I can understand smaller clubs struggling for a second team but not an academy.

It won’t end well. Go for the A team.

I guess it would depend what level are we talking about?

Have you already accepted the position? Other players and parents are aware you accepted the position as well? Just curious if a contract was signed.

Really boils down to several things.

Which club will she get the better training?
How far is the other club?
How close in flight/league are these 2 teams?
How much playing time will she get on either team?
Will she get to play the positions she wants to or forced into a single roll with either club?

If she liked the club then why try out elsewhere? Why don’t you ask her coach ? If he/she isn’t an owner then can’t you have a convo about this and what would be best for her ?

If you think she’s that good then can’t you wait it out a year and see if she makes the A team at her current club? Maybe they will have her play up nest season ?

Even if she made the A team she would not play that much. They are top 5 in the state and have been for years. The other clubs A team is not as good as her current teams A team but they play mid level EDP which is appropriate for her and about the same level as her current B team. This is not a move because I think my daughter is to good for the team. It is a move because she loves playing soccer and I want to make sure he has a team. I also do not want her playing time taken by the A team kids as it will be the same coach and that is a concern of mine.

I would share that same concern. I would make the move.

Which club will she get the better training? - Her current trainer is a great trainer but horrible coach. There is a difference. The new new trainer is not as good as her current but not bad at all from the 6 practices we went to
How far is the other club? about 10 minutes further current club than her so 30 mins away.
How close in flight/league are these 2 teams? - You can not compare the A team of her current club as they are consistently top 5 in the state and play in the USYS. The B team that she plays on now is mid level EDP which is the same as the other A team. This is a good level for her. She can thrive at this level but also be challenged.
How much playing time will she get on either team? She will get at least half a game.
Will she get to play the positions she wants to or forced into a single roll with either club? She is will play where ever a coach tells her except for goalie. As long as she is playing she don't care where
