Some guy blabbering about why he’s at PDA - his kids goal (not the one that goes in a net) was about playing D1 etc.

There are 87 pages of anonymous parents like yourself blabbering about how much you hate one club,one league. That’s 87 pages. Do you think you have any effect on anyone else or are you enjoying your self indulgence. Just think in September you can start again at page one and start a new cycle of hate.

Why is a dad talking logical about what his daughter wants annoying. Didnt say what club she was at, just said she chose a league that had longer history of success recruiting D1. I did not insult the league your kid plays in (whatever league that may be) because to me it really doesn't matter. Where your kid plays doesn't affect my daughter or me for that matter. You should just do what is good for your daughter. Is she at STA? I know STA has been known as a good club for years so you should be fine. Do people on here bash GA? Sure. Does it matter? No. Not one bit

Sorry but you do sound annoying - not sure what the OP was. Potentially rework how you write to sound less whiny? You clearly care SO much that you took the time to reply, but claim you don't.

IMO ECNL and GA are basically the same and most games between most combinations of teams are pretty competitive. Occasional outliers but generally the games are good and when there is cross over opportunities, the games are reasonably close especially at the younger ages. FOR NOW, up in the 06, 05, 04 ages there is a gap because so many GDA girls fled but I think 07 and younger there's a lot more parity.

I'm not sure that there are any New Jersey GA teams in the 2007-2011 age groups that can give the top New Jersey ECNL teams a game so I disagree with your point on 07 and younger having parity.

It is really hard to say which league is better unless they play one another. Which in some states they do but in NJ they hardly do. Although did at the College showcase and PDA lost and at the EDP tournaments and PDA lost. So how would that make ECNL the richest league? Also again the issue is that PDA has THREE teams in NJ in the league and they are not even close to equal. Therein lies the big issue with ECNL in NJ - it is clearly not the richest league in terms of talent if they are losing to non-ECNL teams, even when they are a year older. What PDA doesn't realize is that MANY EDP teams, MOSA teams have kids playing up 2-3 years up! So they are actually losing to kids younger than them.

You are talking about a B team that just rolled over 1/3rd to half its team against a team that just came back from Nationals. A game that was played in the middle of July when people are on vacation. A game that was played, for the 2nd time that day, in 90+ heat.

This is exactly why summer doesn't matter.

This thread is fascinating. It's one thing to discuss the differences in clubs and leagues and what might work better than others but to trash specific teams (these are ALL young kids) is a whole other dimension. Not everyone wants to play for PDA. Or MatchFit. All clubs are riddled with politics. And while I tend to believe that ECNL has a better system than GA, it has a big jump on experience. STA has seemingly been shut out of ECNL on the girls side so what should they do as a club? Shut down because they aren't in the almighty league? As for Tim, he isn't "jumping ship" - he is moving on in his career. He will be missed by a lot of kids at STA.

I also don't understand why we are making excuses about the conditions, or the time of year, etc? The heat (yes, it was hot), the long grass (yes it was a very slow field), and the fact that the game was during prime vacation time, were these factors somehow only true for PDA? It was a level play field, and PDA lost, and that's it. If anything, STA should have the handicap of not having the ECNL badge to lure players, so let's just stop with the BS and allow them the win.

My gawd if I have to read PDA parents complaining about the heat one more time my head may explode. Every loss they incur is related to conditions. They are under the assumption there is only long grass under their own players' boots. It's only hot around them.

Amazing 2 bottom league teams. Clearly STA came on top. STA has a better program that works. STA is a better league. They focus on honest soccer, not constant recruitments and revolving door. It works.

STA had many players away and injuries. PDA had the same team they always have. STA is clearly the better team period. They played they won and should be celebrating. PDA also tied the caps team where STA won so overall even without this game, STA was superior. That PDA white team is a mess anyway - I feel bad for those players- they should run before it gets an lot worse.
