Thats my opinion of Ylon and many others will tell you the same thing. Everyone on here that is interested in playing for STA on Ylon's team should do your self a favor and go to an STA practice of a team that Ylon coaches. Talk to the parents. Talk to the parents of the 06 GA team (the ones that are left) Get some real feedback. Some will say they like him and his very relaxed ways. Others will says they don't like his relaxed ways. Watch how he practices. If you like what you see then go for it. If you dont and find he is not not a good fit for your kid then try somewhere else.

Start a new thread about a club/team/coach you want to talk about. This thread is about STA. Its started with someone asking about Tim leaving. If you are bored with the conversation you can actually read other threads. Or just don't come on TS at all

Based on my D playing for him. He is not the kind of coach that will push your kid or challenge them to get the most out of them. Yes, my feedback about him is that he is chill and relaxed but thats not what my kid needs. He is a nice guy no doubt about it but we want something more than a nice chill coach. With Tim leaving I am curious how many GA teams Ylon will get. There are some decent older GA teams that would go backwards with Ylon. Like the 05 team.

Ylon hasn't even been coaching GA teams. He always got the B and C teams. Now with Tim and Neil leaving they have no choice but to give him a GA team. He is taking over 06 GA next year

GA is a major step up. Playing and coaching in the top platform for girls in the States is no joke.

Agreed. My daughter couldn't make the DA team at STA. I think they had the standards set too high for DA and were just too serious. Now that STA got rid of DA and has GA she is on the team. She is Luvin it!

Is that why they call it a League of their own or a league by the players for the players? The GDA definitely did not fit those categories.
