I think, then, that I may be describing the same thing as you then. Soccer training can be a relaxed, fun environment where players are rigorously pushed to improve and compete with their teammates in an effort to improve.

Relaxed doesn't mean less intense. It describes the atmosphere, under my thought process

Considering Ylon is coaching the 06 GA team which are seriously having troubles filling spots you would think your attitude towards people interested in the club/coach would be much less standoffish. You fools need kids. Desperately. But hey, you got it all figured out

Those 06 parents are pretty defensive. They have way too much say with the club which is a problem for any outsiders that come in.

STA was a top notch development club until around 2017, then new ownership started, new management came in, 3 teams per age group BS, staff not very qualified, things got really watered down. They were a feeder to PDA, Red Bulls, etc... These players have either graduated or are graduating now. From now on you won't see the same quality because there's not much development going on in the younger age groups and there's now a focus more on growing the business, rather than developing players. Just look at roster size, back in the days there's No way they were carrying 24 player roster, charging extra for ref fees and traveling out of state to play crappy games.

Their younger teams, U9-U12 are mostly very competitive save a few weak years on both sides. Hard to compete with the ECNL clubs after that, but this is why they are a good "feeder" program as someone else mentioned. There is basically one team, 2009 on the boys side that is decent at this point and was developed by a coach who already left by the way and a couple of teams on the girls side. That is it. Still stronger on the girls side because Kelly is a fantastic trainer, nothing like her on the boys side.
