What happened to STA 08 Girls team? watched them this past weekend and they are not good at all. It was very hard to watch, such bad soccer

Absolutely possible. Among other possible big changes including Newman losing the whole club when he goes to jail. All in all its business and don't take it personal all you devoted STA peeps. The mean girl posts on this forum are laughable. Grown men and women attacking 13 year olds for being 13 year olds is despicable. It is obvious these posters have never played sports at a high level.

STA has been known to foster an environment of separate clicks within teams. The “In” group are usually young ladies that have been with the club since early on. It can cause strife between other kids that join in the later years. The consequences of their actions is reflected in the mass exodus that happens in the later years as talented players realize that they no longer want to be outside the clicks and look to move on to various teams.

Ehhh not sure I agree. There are some strained times during the player pool years, but I’ve never seen new players being excluded from those top roster spots. How were you made to feel excluded from and “IN” group?

It’s actually kind of comical though. Most of the time you see on here people complained about the exact opposite. Clubs bringing new players in mid-season, and bumping their homegrown players down. Just goes to show that this youth soccer system is broken, everyone has a gripe.

06 team was terribly clicky when we were there. So I agree with above post as that was our experience. Perhaps it was just the age group.

I don't think its about a new kid not being a starter or playing its about being left out by kids that are clicky. I am pretty sure its like that everywhere at every age.

Its human nature so attention has to be given by the coaches to make sure its controlled. With some effort, it can easily be dealt with or it can be left alone to fester like weeds in a garden. Pretty soon the garden is overtaken. The trouble with STA, which is different from some other clubs, is that they foster some of this behavior themselves, both in practice and in games.
