Whats going on with the 06 GA team at STA? Looks like more kids leaving. I heard Miles is leaving also.

People have been posting that the 06 team is losing players for 9 months. At this rate, there can't be more than 4 or 5 players left on that team.

what's happening to STA? SO many boys and girls leaving lately. Guess all the 200 logos on the website and magical partnerships not helping retain quality players? That's a shame.

I get your sarcasm but I think the question and statement was specifically about the 06 girls team and that is in fact loosing their coach. They also lost players and seem to be losing more.
Now if you want to discuss what the club will look like when TV is gone thats another subject.

It’s a real shame that team is falling apart. Was a quality team.

Yes. This is true. And those 5 or 6 are trying out at other clubs too.

That’s very concerning especially for new players joining the team. You could literally end up with a totally different group of teammates than what was promised/expected. Are they being transparent with everyone?

I really don't know how transparent STA is being with the kids that they are trying to recruit. But the team next year is going to be completely different from this year's team simply because it will be mostly new kids. Either kids brought in from outside or brought up from B and C teams

If all thise kids ate leaving, looks like there will be some ECNL players available. Assume they are pretty good, they are in ECNL after all, right?

STA needs to stop sending kids to ECNL and taking starting spots from ECNL kids on the teams. Someone needs to stop this. Just not fair to the kids who have been with the club for 4-5 years to be dumped just when the showcase years are about to begin.

We knew GDA was going under before the 19-20 season. Our daughter played for NYCFC GDA and the coaches told us that within a year the boys MLS clubs were pulling out of the BDA and they were therefore dropping GDA and suggested all players join WCFC Girls ECNL. Some parents were courted by TV, and he promised them National team call ups and HUGE college commitments and left. We are having the best laugh now at those who left.

Oh come on. There were signs all over the place. Large clubs bailing on DA and going all in with ECNL. MLS clubs wanting to split from non-MLS clubs creating 2 tiers of competition. Trouble everywhere for DA, but these fools "didn't see it coming".

No one saw it coming? Everyone on the boys side knew it was coming, maybe not when but knew it was close. MLS had been vocal for years about wanting their own league. Every year that passed was another year closer to it happening. Wasn't a shock when DA went belly up. Between the inclusion of the GDA, the fighting about player and sub rules, no HS, fighting between ECNL and US Soccer; these only served to speed up the process and when covid hit gave them the excuse to do it without disrupting the season.
