I mean - it wasn't really held secret. There were whispers about it months before the announcement was made. You may not believe it and it does not change anything except for the fact that it supports the position that the DOCs are not always truthful. The fallout is the same and the current situation is what it is. It is simply a question of whether you believe a club DOC knew or did not know ahead of time that DA was at least in very grave danger.

Now, on to whether STA's hires will work out. In my experience they are a decent organization and should weather new staff integration just fine.

It's just another attempt to try and pump up the ECNL while attempting to make the former DA clubs who had to go to GA look bad. You claim the DOC's held families hostage and lied to them. What exactly did they have to gain? Offers for next season hadn't gone out yet and tryouts weren't happening cause of the Covid shutdown. Families knew way advance that their DA team wasn't getting an ECNL bid so if they wanted to leave for an ECNL team they could have. Someone tell me what alternatives the DA teams had? PDA and MO made it impossible for anyone other than PDA South to get an ECNL bid. Everyone knows the ECNL is the top league in the country but in NJ it's a joke and it's run by a club that cares more about keeping quality players away from teams not in the ECNL than actually improving the league itself. The numbers don't lie. The ECNL in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic is watered down and top heavy with PDA Blue being the ONLY NJ team that deserves to play in the "top" girls league in the country. Every team from PDA White, PDA South, Match Fit is comparable to STA, CSA, SJEB on any given day.

100%. And the same can be said for the PA ECNL teams - it’s basically PDA blue and from there not a great big difference between the GA teams and the other ECNL teams.

People think because a team is ECNL they are automatically better than any other team and that is just not the case in this area.

What would you have done. They weren't lying if they didn't know for sure. You can't change the direction of a club based on rumors. ECNL wouldn't let them join so what's the next best option. It easy to make accusations when you are in an anonymous forum and nobody knows who you are and what your agenda is. We heard from a guy who's second cousin with the nextdoor neighbor of the father of a kid that plays with the son of a connected guy. It's all true you can bet your life on it.

Lying about what? My D was asked to come to a club specifically for DA. When DA fell apart we got screw screwed. Like many others. But my daughter has the talent and landed on her feet nicely elsewhere. Its laughable how any parent would defend these clubs. So either your a coach or a fool of a parent. Actually since this is an STA thread you are probably an STA parent. And since this discussion is supposed to be about TV leaving I guess you believe he didn't know he was bailing either.
