if there is one thing that's sure in US is that not a single person can keep their mouth shut with a good secret.
3 weeks:
- anonymous boards
2 weeks:
- soccer weekly publishes this as a "rumor"
0 weeks: we are firing everyone and dissolving GDA
Now, on to whether STA's hires will work out. In my experience they are a decent organization and should weather new staff integration just fine.

It is simply a question of whether you believe a club DOC knew or did not know ahead of time that DA was at least in very grave danger.

Back of the net?
Socalsoccer?
If you are hearing whispers that are not there - talk to someone. It’s not too late.

All of you posters out there saying the DOC's knew and that it was a conspiracy theory are so full of it. It's just another attempt to try and pump up the ECNL while attempting to make the former DA clubs who had to go to GA look bad. You claim the DOC's held families hostage and lied to them. What exactly did they have to gain? Offers for next season hadn't gone out yet and tryouts weren't happening cause of the Covid shutdown. Families knew way advance that their DA team wasn't getting an ECNL bid so if they wanted to leave for an ECNL team they could have. Someone tell me what alternatives the DA teams had? PDA and MO made it impossible for anyone other than PDA South to get an ECNL bid. Everyone knows the ECNL is the top league in the country but in NJ it's a joke and it's run by a club that cares more about keeping quality players away from teams not in the ECNL than actually improving the league itself. The numbers don't lie. The ECNL in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic is watered down and top heavy with PDA Blue being the ONLY NJ team that deserves to play in the "top" girls league in the country. Every team from PDA White, PDA South, Match Fit is comparable to STA, CSA, SJEB on any given day.

this is bc they lie all the time, so why would this time be any different? once someone is a known liar, it's hard to believe anything they say, even if it is true.

People think because a team is ECNL they are automatically better than any other team and that is just not the case in this area.

How did SoccerWire know?

I distinctly remember rumblings and rumors about DA going under a month or two before it was official.

ECNL wouldn't let them join so what's the next best option. It easy to make accusations when you are in an anonymous forum and nobody knows who you are and what your agenda is. We heard from a guy who's second cousin with the nextdoor neighbor of the father of a kid that plays with the son of a connected guy. It's all true you can bet your life on it.

Not a single tryout or offer was sent out prior to the DA collapse so you knew well in advance her club wasn't playing in the ECNL. I could see some validity to the argument if you told me the clubs knew before tryouts were held and failed to tell the girls that made the team that they wouldn't be playing in the DA but this isn't how it went down. Clubs most likely heard rumblings but weren't sure. It's widely known that there's rumors always surrounding US Soccer and organizationally it's a train wreck. What's done is done but you're a liar who's still bitter cause you're kid didn't get the shiny ECNL patch to put on her uniform.
