Find the coach that trains to the level of his best players on the team. It is beneficial to all on the team and those who can't rise don't belong at that level. Interview the coach and weed out the ones who blow smoke but dont produce successful teams

ah......but this takes a type of knowledge that is nuanced based on experience with youth soccer and the game. Most parents do not possess this knowledge. If most did, inferior coaching would not survive in the market place. An uneducated consumer keeps the ball rolling!

The loudest voices that complain most on this site have no true knowledge about soccer nor do they properly vette a club program including the club’s coaches, trainers or DOC’s. These people have no clue what licenses they have or their previous experience with players. They would rather blame others then look in the mirror at themselves.

Your mileage may vary at any club depending on the coach who is training your daughter.
          The club matters .

The club definitely matters. The DOC should set the style and then the coaches all teach a game that should progress year by year. YOu dont want one coach choosing big brutes playing direct one year and then the next coach looking to play some tiki taka. That does no one any good, it confuses players and it means they will be looking to push out some kids and bring in new ones each year based on coach preference thats really far apart everytime the assignment changes. No good.
