Find the coach that trains to the level of his best players on the team. It is beneficial to all on the team and those who can't rise don't belong at that level. Interview the coach and weed out the ones who blow smoke but dont produce successful teams

The club definitely matters. The DOC should set the style and then the coaches all teach a game that should progress year by year. YOu dont want one coach choosing big brutes playing direct one year and then the next coach looking to play some tiki taka. That does no one any good, it confuses players and it means they will be looking to push out some kids and bring in new ones each year based on coach preference thats really far apart everytime the assignment changes. No good.
