Sometimes ECNL teams add their ECRL players to their roster to facilitate the match-day forms and rosters in their system. Did you cross-check this roster with their ECRL roster to see if there is overlap?

Why do much negative generalization against hard working coaches trying to earn a living? Someone must have been cut....move on and enjoy your life.

Sorry but no, kid has never been cut and doing very well. My issue is with people complaining about how tough of a job it is when a majority don't do much at all. Some are true heroes, they know who they are, and don't need praise from kids or parents. The ones complaining want validation for the kids achievements even though these kids, especially at the highest levels, achieve by doing more work outside the club then in it.

You are right that players and families know when a coach is just phoning it in. While not the majority, such a coach is foolish to think they deserve or will get praised for that. Put in the effort and it gets recognized. It also keeps more families on the roster.

Even a quality coach shouldn't get upset if a player leaves. It happens for many reasons. A really good coach will try and find out why a player is leaving to see if they can learn from it but many times it won't have much to do with him/her. If a player is good and needs to move up the ladder a coach should be happy to see them do so. That's what is supposed to happen

For as much as I’m sure trainers love the game it is a thankless job. All day tournaments with one game after the next from 8am to 6pm some days. Training 4 days a week and putting up with lots of parents complaints, suggestions and issues. On top of that some players and families bolt without ever appreciating that was done for them and the player. These trainers deserve some thanks and a pat on a back once in a while. They truly have a thankless job.

Amongst the negative bs that gets posted on here, let’s not forget how much they do for the kids.

I believe another thread already looked at it and found that a dozen of them were from the 09 Shore roster as MF was trying to move them onto the ECNL 08 team after the season started. Parents complained to ECNL and ECNL put a stop to it.

I've never heard of this happening at PDA. This is a fake MF business practice to recruit more players by offering them a back-door way to take over a spot of an ECNL player.

This was the deal all along and why MF Shore IS MF Shore. Those 2009 players were guaranteed spots over a year ago. That’s the whole reason why the Shore location was started. Parents shouldn’t be acting outraged now. They weren’t paying attention when they needed to be.

Every year Match Fit pulls of a different scam and fleeces a new group of parents and hurts a number of kids.

Bring a coach, merge the teams, fire coach.
Replace a bunch of starters mid season.
Cut the number of showcases and don’t give refunds.

Let’s hope everyone knows that the Match Fit WILL SCREW YOU OVER at some point in time. Whether it’s tryouts, crappy development or college pipeline. You will be on your own and everyone will be out to stab you in your back.
