Clubs and academies that people trash for not being in the ECNL because clubs like PDA cherry pick from them.

Ahhh...incorrect. Casey Murphy GK was drafted.

PDA is a cult. It begins and ends with the brand (some times the wallet) and usually at the expense of the kids.

It’s disgusting that CSA develops players from U8 to U15 and clubs like PDA jump in and steal these players. Just not fair and definitely not right.

PDA’s model. Start them young. 1 or 2 work out. Than use your brand to rape every club in a 60 mile radius. Soccer skills not required. Show them how to kick a ball down the field and press the hell out of them. Collect ECNL accolades, rinse and repeat.

So serious question. Who is developing players at the younger ages at Csa? I have seen the 2010 coach and he seems excellent?

All their teams are homegrown kids there since U8-U9 and then PDA scoops them up at U15-16. It’s terrible. One club does all the development work and the other reaps the rewards.

Totally agree clubs like CSA do all the development work creating great players and then they have no loyalty jumping ship to PDA in a split second. Shame that some clubs put in so much work and youth soccer parents have zero sense and loyalty.

Didn't the 09s, 08s and 07s get dragged from LVU with the coach?

Loyalty? Because academies or coaches show loyalty to players or parents? I've seen coaches change players at the blink of an eye to get the new player in the door. Even if they aren't an upgrade to the player they replaced. I've seen coaches sit players because the parent got on the wrong side of them. I've seen player get passed over because, even though they are better, the coach goes golfing or drinks with the others parent. Very few show any loyalty to the players so why should they get some? A great coach knows their limitation and encourages his player to move on when they get to the point that staying only hurts them.

In today's environment someone like Carli Lloyd would of had to play for PDA Blue in order to get the opportunity to play where she's at as Medford Strikers would never be able to accomplish with another player what they were able to with her.
