Then why are so many EDP, ECNL and GA games played on Sun?

Not sure about EDP, but ECNL and GA games usually play both Saturday and Sunday because they are traveling to farther locations and are grouping games to be played on one weekend to minimize the travel (eg. schedule both Maryland games on Sat/Sun so that teams from NJ don't have to travel to Maryland twice in the season).

Looked at a couple of EDP schedules, and seems like less than half of a team's games are on Sundays. So the question is how big a deal is it for ECNL/GA players who play 2 games per weekend to be able to play on another EDP/local team when they are already playing 2 games per weekend?

How hard would it be? Not vary depending on if the club picked up other games. The issue is ECNL clubs are so worried about players leaving that they won't let them play for a GA, EDP or local township team. So worried that the ECNL actually has rules for it which include, if caught, forfeiting games and even expulsion from ECNL.

So you are suggesting that ECNL is somehow doing a player a disservice by not letting them play with another club in a 3rd game over a couple of Saturday/Sundays in a season? Some of which they would have to drive multiple hours to hope they get there in time? For example, they have ECNL games in Maryland on Saturday and Sunday, but want to add a 3rd game on Sunday in New Jersey? And that somehow this makes GA's less-restrictive rule so much better? Smh...

How would a player play for both ECNL and a GA team? Don't they both have games on Sat/Sun?

Who in their right mind would pay tuitions for both ECNL and GA/EDP for the slim possibility of adding 2-3 games in a season?

You train with the GA team where they have real coaches. And play ECNL where there is competition. It’s really best kept genius secret.
