    Verbally abusive coach

Is this just every club coach out there? What crosses the line? What , as parents, do you do about it? I’m not looking for trophies and rainbows at every turn, but some of these guys seem to have anger issues. Screaming, insulting, stomping off the fields like a 2 year old.
And we pay for this treatment?

I am curious what club you are referring to. Lots of coaches scream, but there is a coach from a south Jersey club— not naming but they are “ quality over quantity “ that seems to take the cake. Crazy town.

Have you ever seen their team pics, not one single kid is smiling. Makes you wonder if these kids are having any fun.

Sounds like a certain coach from Wall. Always throwing his water bottle, belittling his players and stomping around. These coaches should not be around children

So he’s on the sidelines? That’s worse.

There is a different thread about him that was posted a few days ago.

Because there aren't enough MF threads?

As for so called verbally abusive coaches? Listen to what they're actually saying, not the tone. Some coaches yell just for the sake of yelling. Players tune them out after awhile like white noise. Some are just yelling actual instructions, it's their delivery method that parents don't like. Players learn to ignore the volume to get to the substance. If your player is struggling with that help them decipher what's being communicated. A player needs to be able to adapt to very different coaches in their career, but some personalities won't do well with this style of coaching.

The 3rd group, that's very, very small, can be abusive. Obviously that's unacceptable. Most truly abusive coaches will eventually be kicked to the curb at some point but your kid might be caught in their crossfire. Helping them navigate and figuring out if and when you have to step in is tricky. No recipe to guide you there, follow your gut
