I love seeing all the posts about what parents write about their current situations....practice too much, not enough, size of the field, color of uniform, too many scrimmages, not enough, too much money, outside training, bad coaches, my platform is better than yours, blah, blah, blah. Get it through your heads, it's a business first. If you have not done your own research you have no one to blame but yourself. But then I see the complainers, still there where they are supposedly so miserable and treated so bad. Do something about it. Find a club that better suits your kid. Or is your kid happy but your not? What is the deal? Do you feel obligated to stay if you are so wronged? Fact is, no matter what team, township, club, academy, they are always going to be looking for opportunities to bring on players that will contribute to the team, and yes that means winning. Sorry but that is just a fact. Academics are way more a priority in my world and there is more of a chance of getting scholarships for that...playing soccer, if my kid is still interested years down the road, in college would just be icing on the cake.
