The top college coaches will be looking at the top teams period. If your daughter plays for a team that wins the national championship and she can get playing time you bet she has a better chance than a girl playing in a showcase tournament. It doesn't mean she's better it just means she will be getting more exposure.

So much of the narrative is built on this cinderella story of attracting the eye of some College coach whose soccer team is good, but whose school is a big prestige trade up from the alternatives. This mythical exposure. I would love to get real statistics on Women's College soccer recruiting. The one truth is there are lots of schools out there with soccer programs and they benefit from consolidated play. People call it showcasing, but its far more looking at the players we already have a reason to than it is, lets look at random players who may like us and/or fit.
