Thoughts on the PDA South Girls Program out of Westhampton?

The younger teams were horrendous this fall. While the 09s and 07s seem to have known reputable coaches the 08 coach seems to have changed and doesn't look to have the credentials you would expect of an ECNL coach (just doing a Google search). The older teams at PDA South have some really good teams that have been together for awhile. So take that for what it is worth.

No, anyone that knows about PDA South knows that a majority of them started out at other clubs. The majority of players they have now at 2010-07 won't be on the ECNL teams by the time they hit HS.

Hmm you can say that about every club to some degree. PDA south gets kids after parents figure out the club they are at aren’t doing them justice. Keep the excuses coming tho

Unless Jenks is coaching your PDA South team you may as well not bother. As for players moving SJEB and Real are doing a lot better holding their top players then in the past.

Up until COVID and DA SJEB would leak more and more players from u13-u18 every year. With their adding a 3rd day of training, including winter/summer, strength and agility and constantly playing almost every weekend for less then PDA South they are starting to retain more of the top players. PDA South got ECNL and didn't pull many players from SJEB A-Teams.

Most people look at the older teams and what they can do or what colleges the last players still at the club go to. Start looking at what club the top players come from and were trained at. When players get to HS age development isn't done by the club as much. When I see PDA South younger teams struggle against low tiered EDP teams I see a lack of development and commitment to the current players. No one on these boards has ever said SJEB can't train or is bad at it. The only knock is what the players who didn't leave in the past (pre-DA changes) have done in college and how mediocre most of the HS age teams are.

IF SJEB can keep the talent they have at u14 and lower and continue to develop like they are doing then they will be the clear #2 behind PDA Blue.

Be fair now GA is a difficult platform. Other GA clubs in NJ have similar challenges as SJEB.

Really? Didn't most of AJAX get its start at SJEB? Kylie Dingle, Faith Slimmer? How many others? I don't think their is a better trainer in SJ then JT at SJEB. With that though you would first have to get onto a squad he trains. He does talk a good game and may over promise before you come over but his training is still heads above any other in the area.

Those player wouldn’t tell you that ; many other contributing factors. It’s said with coaches take credit for already skilled kids. JT just stalks rival clubs h tryouts so his players don’t leave!
