So, how many people you know that have had both shots? Most I know either don't qualify or don't want the shot.

Fully vaccinated is 2 weeks after 1 j&j dose, or 2nd pfizer or moderna shot. No way us our team anywhere close to this.

So, how many people you know that have had both shots? Most I know either don't qualify or don't want the shot.

Obviously no kids are vaxd, some parents are. Traveling responsibly is up to the each family. Obviously some are fools and don't take it seriously. Wear masks, wash up all the time, distance on and off the field. It's about all you can do and if you're not comfortable then don't go. Paentd and kids socializing off the field are the biggest risk, not the games themselves, not eating out with just your family, not hotels. Teams should skip team dinners this time

Most importantly if anyone in the family starts to feel poorly DO NOT GO, DO NOT LET YOUR KID PLAY. Plenty of parents used to send the kids to school or activities sick and that cannot happen now. You don't want your kid to be the team's Typhoid Mary or Michael.

Pretty good idea here and totally reasonable. Not hard to find solutions if you are just willing to do it. If my kid's team travels I intend on taking this type of approach. We would certainly go, play and just try to be careful the rest of the time and be happy the games are even happening.

Use the time to explore the area, go hiking, whatever. If your kid is approaching college search time go walk around a campus (no one has tours now 'cuz of 'rona). Even non Covid times you don't have to be with team all the time.
