Hopefully GAL can become a better platform than NPL, but I see your point.

The leadership at GAL will finally get to showcase the league this spring and get some girls flowing back from ECNL.

Even if it did* it wouldn't make up for the greater numbers leaving GAL for ECNL

* if people have a lousy ECNL option in their area sure GAL might be a consideration, but not if that ECNl club is equal to or better than, which will be 75% of ECNL clubs.

It will happen.

Sure an event may happen, but there won't be masses of girls flocking into GAL to play next season. The outward migration is far greater than any possible inflow

None of it has happened yet sweet cheeks, but so far ECNL is gaining more in terms of quality clubs and players. GAL will take any club and GAL clubs will take anyone with a check. Expect the bleed to continue.

Totally agree. There isn't one single club outside of the GAL that thinks like this. Not one will just take your check. All the other clubs in the area are stickley about development. Granted, clubs like PDA with rosters of 23 kids for 11v11 is not about money at all. All those kids have great opportunities and playtime. MF Shore? The club couldn't care less about just cashing your check. Some of those kids don't pay a dime. How do you like this apples? GAL is money hungry where as not one single ECNL team cares about that. Time to wake up people!

Spot on post here, the level of play in GAL is not worth any amount of $$ paid. If the clubs and players leavings en masse on sure what else will.

If a club has strong younger teams, doing ECRL for a year or two is your best option. Clubs like STA lose their best players by U13-U15 because they can't offer the top league

Agreed that this is the best move for several of the clubs in our area.
