Get yourself educated Rutgers is probably a top 5 programme in the country. And they have a great pipeline into the best academy in the nation and possibly worldwide in PDA. So put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Top 5? UNC, Stanford, UCLA, almost any SEC schools, Duke, Penn St.....Nope not top 5 or even 10. Top 20 maybe, top 50 yup.

ECNL could grow there ECRL league with GA clubs by starting them there and if they earn a promotion across age groups they can get into ECNL

Right now much of the formula matches ECNL and ECRL competition weekends

This would have to change, but does make sense for ECNL and would completely destroy GA

And this is already being done in isolated situations

If you swelled ECRLs ranks with even half of the top GA clubs with the clubs dominating moving directly to ECNL you would have the best clubs and a carrot to keep them the best while also giving hope to others.

It's my impression that's how ECRL works in the rest of the country. North Atlantic and New England are the only regions that just fill it with B teams.

European women's soccer is going to leapfrog US women's if we continue to look to college soccer as a measure stick. The best example is that game from last year's ICC cup of PDA - Barcelona. Physical and direct is not the best soccer, skill will always undo muscle.

PDA dominated? What game did you watch? Barca looked more laid back in the 2nd half. PDA being dominate would mean Barca would be on their heels which they never looked like they weren't in control.

I like this but i see too much added cost. The clubs consolidate travel with the current situation and coordinate coaching assignments. At my D's club, the ECNL and ECRL teams have the same coach at a few age groups, so the scheduling makes it possible for one staff member to cover the two teams in one trip. The enemy of most good ideas remains money and logistics.

Parents are trying to rationalize ECRL with ECNL. These two separate entities were planned as being separate with ECRL big direct competition with every other league. You could say ECNL is looking to be a monopoly for women’s soccer. The carrot will always be that a player can be promoted to an ECNL team if they are deserving of it. The stick (factual) is that if a player was good enough for an ECNL team they would be on that team to begin with. Maybe at the youngest age groups ECRL may benefit a few players. ECNL is not about expansion. Any club that says they will be in ECNL in the near future have them show you proof.

Which HS aged STA team is as good as PDA White? Maybe last year when STA was DA but now that most of the talent left (and is continuing to leave) there is no solid STA GA team left. PDA White through all age groups picked up talent from all over this year. Some from STA.

Who has any of those STA teams played this year? 06 keeps going downhill and parents know it. 05 not same team at all as last year. Any of Cryers quality kids that stayed now regret it. You didn't even mention 04. 02/03 ok maybe.
And now Smiling Tim pushing NM away so Kelly can coach the 06s. Yea thats going to make STA top dogs.
They will just keep playing top notch teams like CSA and LISC. I think they can beat Ukranian Nats lol. Either way those teams will never get a chance to play PDA White. But I can tell you a lot of those STA kids are trying to be part of the PDA White teams. PDAs phone has been ringing off the hook. Actually even Matchfit.

Even though I think these wholesale roster changes are nuts PDA White teams definitely are getting stronger. With DA folding a lot of players that couldn't make Blue landed on White. 06 White Team will be strong although they have like 25 kids. Not sure about the older teams but would imagine similar situation.

At our club, many of the ECRL players are skilled but undersized, maybe they haven't had their growth spurt yet or something like that. They could certainly hit that growth spurt at some point and then make their way onto ECNL.
