Perhaps big Sam should forget about West Brom and get a HS soccer gig here in the US of A.
That being said kick and run here in the United States is played at the youth level because it’s the easiest ways to win early on. Parents in turn equate winning with being good. So in short no major soccer club in NJ does a good job of teaching actual soccer because as we know it’s a big business and they need wins to prove they are good.

- According to the announcers, PDA was at the start of their season...not exactly mid-season form. Whereas Barcelona clearly a well-oiled machine in mid-season form.
- Announcers mentioned PDA was 32-0 in the previous season. Seriously doubt they could have done that with a "kick and run" system.
- First "kick to no one" at the 24 minute mark. Clearly PDA getting frustrated and impatient considering their lack of possession up to that point
- Finally PDA gets a clean possession and puts together a nice string of passes starting from the GK up the right side just before the 25m mark by PDA leading to a corner kick opportunity.
From that first half, have zero idea how you would call that "Kick and Run" soccer. Barca dominated, PDA hardly had the ball. Not going to watch the 2nd half unless you say it's completely different, and even then, going to the long ball when down 2-0 in a 25 minute half is a legit desperation move when you've been dominated for most of the game and need to get a score, so it's hardly PDA's regular "system".

2 games is enough of a trend for you to label a whole club as teaching and implementing "Kick and Run" system?

Pda played better in the 2nd half. Nobody said this team specifically was kick and run rather at the younger ages NOBODY in NJ does what they do abroad because it’s big money. Pda girls could play like those are Lo a girls if developed correctly. They aren’t and the fact they do well nationally speaks to soccer in this country. Everyone is catching up and rather quickly. Check out Spain vs USA last World Cup. A Spanish team that had zero history in the sport nearly won. Spanish women have a history of making paella.

in the US players are selected from a largely middle to upper middle class pool because they can pay. In Spain, they are selected because they can play. The models are totally different.
Explains why the USA are not dominant at youth levels, but over time they outlast most nations in terms of kids playing beyond HS.

Probably the most common phrases I've heard among youth soccer coaches (even parent coaches) is "who was that to?", telling the player not to just randomly kick the ball forward, but that they should kick the ball to someone. This idea that coaches at a high level club (or even a low-level club) would "teach and implement" a system based on kick and run is possibly the most idiotic thing I've ever heard.
And yes, many clubs and colleges use this as they just want the win. Athletic and speedy players work best for this hence why all the clubs love them.
