Originally posted by Unregistered View PostIt just depends on the club and age. Our younger boys are “pre-ecnl” which is u12 and younger and did the EDP route this year to get games in. Most got 6-9 league games and we played 4 tournaments (although tuckahoe was a mess for a couple this year and one was cut in half and the final was cancelled for most or would have been 5). We practiced July through Mid-December and also did friendlies for a few games. We are doing the Jan-Feb outdoor EDP winter league and then we will play EDP in spring. I doubt we play as many tournaments, but min 3. We are still looking at Jeff Cup in Virginia, but doubtful it happens.
We practiced from August to mid-December.
9 games (granted we played some teams 2x) and 2 friendlies/scrimmages.
2 tournaments.

6 games and 4 friendless (3 against our own club A team below and B team on age and above)
1 tournament
NOT a happy parent or player

If you’re not HS age I think that worked out ok for most, it’s the older age groups that got robbed last year and this year started in similar fashion. We’ll see what the Spring holds. If stuff is cancelled we better get a refund. What happens to the $ paid for tourneys that are cancelled does the club keep that as a pure profit???? Should be passed right back to the consumer.

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostThis sounds pretty par for the course. Maybe a drop light but about what most teams got in. Those travel restrictions between neighboring states that kicked in especially late were a killer. My daughter's team had three tournaments canceled within a week prior. We played league games, scrimmages, friendlies and a tournament. Other teams we know played a drop more but many others less.
