Majority of parents have no clue about this website so they walk into these clubs blindly.

I let everyone know about the Pinocchio and William Shakespeare antics that go on at the Shore. Single handedly I probably steered 100 people away from this circus and I love it!

Honestly we were directed to this site because we were duped by a club near MFS won’t say names but they promised my d the higher team by spring and now crickets
Shes a good GK but need options. TS is very negative but thought RT and the parents at MFS were nicer than some on current team

What age group is your D ???? RT will also promise you things and not deliver. Parents are nice though.

I would take my D to any MFS team that RT coaches because they have enough kids, are well run, and are competitive. 2007, 2010, 2011, 2013 are all doing fine, parents seem happy, and so not much to complain about. The other age groups at shore (besides 09 ECNL group) are complete garbage.

anyone at MFA shore that is on a team that RT is not coaching, it’s because your team sucks and Ryan would never coach a bad team. True story.

                        He’s a decent coach who can’t train.

Wanted to share my two cents on Ryan Tetro, since my daughter's been with him for a bit. A lot's been said here in these forums, so let's get into it. Ryan seems like a good guy at heart and has never mistreated my daughter or any of her teammates, but he's super insecure and often bends the truth or just lies instead of facing tough situations head-on. He's got an eye for talent, which is a plus. But his practices? They're pretty much mediocre or even less than that. The team does the same stuff – warm-ups, possession drills, a bit of running, and scrimmages, often against mismatched teams in terms of talent or age. He adds in technical skills and strategy sessions sometimes, mostly before big games or playoffs. But he rarely discusses game performances and what needs improvement, so the same issues keep cropping up.

As far as the club, there's an issue with qualified coaches and Ryan coaches way too many teams, which causes issues. We often have multiple age groups training together, or practices are skipped because of other teams' games. He's told us he'd be there for tournament kickoffs, but then he either doesn't show or arrives super late, something he likely knew would happen. It's not a great situation. And if he's not there, he has other coaches or sometime a parent fill in. The parents aren't qualified and the other coaches are really bad.

When it comes to playtime, he definitely plays favorites. Kids with siblings on his other teams often stick around longer than they should or get more game time than they deserve. It's a source of frustration for many players and parents, but options are limited due to the structure of top-level youth soccer in NJ and where we're all live, especially if the kids want to keep playing with their teammates.

Spot on!!!!!!!! Most truthful write up on RT.
RT prob means well and is trying to build a club. But he is way over his head and does too much himself. Which is why he lies. He’s trying to hold on to players longer until he figures out his ****.
