Imagine there was only 1 club in that area. Then you can really keep it elite … the problem is there are too many clubs. It dilutes the talent. If you are not ECNL or GA you are basically a town team for an academy price. And hate to burst anyone’s bubble but the training at some of these clubs are no better than local towns

Just look at what happened in the 2009 age group when the best MFS players went to PDA and became the top team in the country.

Academies are basically taking the place of town teams whether you realize this or not. It’s just way more expensive. If you are not good enough to play at the highest level, stay at your local town! Or find a good town team with a paid trainer. It’s the same thing. And a lot cheaper.
