    Torpedos
    Red Bulls Mls
    csa Mon Mls
    Tsf Mls

i believe these should be the strongest 10 teams in the state, arguably region. A couple might be in the country..would such a tournament ever happen? Would you add/remove any of the teams
    1. Ironbound MLS
    2. Real MLS
    3. CSA Bergen MLS
    4. CSA Monmoith MLS
    5. Red Bull MLS
    6. PDA MLS
    7. TSF MLS
    8. Football Academy Black
    9. STA ECNL
    10. Match Fit ECNL

I think this would be a better 10 my seeding would be

    1. CSA Bergen MLS
    2. Red Bull MLS
    3. Football Academy Black
    4. Real MLS
    5. Irounbound MLS
    6. TSF MLS
    7. STA ECNL
    8. CSA Monmouth MLS
    9. PDA MLS
    10. Match Fit ECNL

after this 10 teams it's a big drop off to the next group
Torpedos, SJEB RED, Cohansey, Bridgewater, Rahway JFC etc.... (CAT team might not be in top 20/25)

This what the state cup should have been this year.

I thought this thread was MLSNext only? You can’t have FA and 2 ECNL teams ranked!

It's a 2011 Boys thread and it's all hypothetical so why not. STA ECNL definitely deserve a shout

Someone proposed a made up tournament. Those are the teams they would like to see in a tournament, not exactly a "ranking". That said, its basically who they would want to see as the top 10 teams playing each other, so kind of a ranking. I would surely disagree with that order for a "ranking" of teams but I do think its a pretty obvious top 10 teams for the state as well. I Also agree there is a huge drop off after those 10 teams.

a 2nd flight of 10 teams would probably look something close to this...

          1. CSA North NAL
          2. PDA NAL
          3. Torpedoes
          4. SJEB
          5. TSF NAL
          6. Cohansey
          7. Bridgewater
          8. JFC
          9. NJ Stallions
          10. CAT

I understand these teams espicially as you get closer to the bottom are all very similiar level and there is probably another 5 you could argue to get in, where as none of these 10 you could argue to jump up into the proposed 1st 10 group.

          NJ Nationals
          PSA Monmouth
          Kearny
          Lacey
          Plainfield

As far as CSA teams go, the NAL team is stronger than the Monmouth mls team. I believe both teams would be in the top 10.

Haha are you kidding? You must be new here or acting stupid. FA, Sta and MF are very strong teams. Mls honor badge is how they get you to bend the knee fool. Let fa enter a tournament or sta enter a tournament with any of those teams….

Thanks for the acknowledgement of the Torpedoes. The boys have made great progress in the last year. We'd sign up for this event in a heartbeat!

Is 3rd place considered “dominating”. Agree they’ve dominated the mid and bottom but not so much the top. And haven’t played NYCFC yet, who they can definitely beat, but worth noting.

The top end of the North East division is VERY good with NYCFC, Revs, Bergen, Inter, Gottschee. But the bottom half of the North East is VERY bad. Rochester, Met Oval, Westchester, FA Euro, Oakwood, Valeo, Seacoast all arent that high level at 2011. That is 14 guaranteed wins for Bergen with those 7 teams. Bergen is a great team, but also benefits record wise from playing in that division compared to the Mid Atlantic division. Too bad the top half of the Mid Atlantic and the top half of the North East couldnt combine for one stronger division. If you pay attention to the rankings app that someone made which is fairly accurate, then the 5th ranked team from the North East division is on par with the 10th ranked team from the Mid Atlantci Division

1 New England Revolution 49.99 North East
                    2 Intercontinental 49.40 North East
3 Cedar Stars Bergen 49.08 North East
4 NY Red Bulls 48.85 Mid Atlantic
5 Philadelphia Union 48.58 Mid Atlantic
6 New York City FC 47.95 North East
                    7 Springfield 47.82 Mid Atlantic
8 Sporting Athletic 47.80 Mid Atlantic

Surprise surprise NJ teams are taking over this list. 4 are in the top 15, pda coming in at 16.

That’s your takeaway from this? Lol. Not that the top 2 are from MA and draw from a much smaller player pool than NJ?

Res Bulls and Real both beat Intercontinental last spring up in the Boston tournament. 11v11 at Bryant University.

Apparently a few of the teams on the list were playing each weekend during the winter break at one of the Pingry schools in private games.

That’s the closest I’ve heard to this idea.

I think it was RB, NYCFC, FA, STA, PDA and some torpedoes. But it was small sided games and invitation only
