They are doing very well, I think all wins and one tie (first game on the large field maybe?).

If you can't beat them, just exclude them from your league and pretend you are the best!

Let's have Ironbound play FA and see what happens. Ooops, sorry! Forgot performance on the field is irrelevant. It's all politics and protecting fragile egos.

How would Ironbound do in the Acela league? Why isn't Ironbound in it? No doubt, too good for Red Bulls, Philly Union, etc.

Have fun playing in USYS next year. Also, maybe it has to do with the fact that no team 2009 and older is any good. If the FA was all about development, wouldnt they have build some competitive teams after 4 years in the older age groups? No, they took teams from Center Court 2010 and younger and are great at marketing. Thats not how you build a club anyone wants in their league.

The club is new and older teams are weaker because they were developed elsewhere early on. That is true. Age groups 2010 and younger are strong. But let the soccer do the talking. A badge doesn't make your team good.

2010 Ironbound Bulls would maul the FA 2010s...and I'm sure the top 09 IB would do the same to FAs 09s. FA has a top level 2011 team but that's it.

Center Court fired all their coaches due to covid and not wanting to pay them. Kudos to the parents of the younger teams for believing in the coaches. FA didn’t stake the teams, the parents helped start the program and it was the right thing to do and it payed off…when was the last time you saw a CFC team?

That being said, it also created a monster where the parents run the team.

Ironbound is in the NEAL. The NEAL and Acela are almost the same level league., very close. Do some research.

This is the 2011 thread, but if you want to bring up other age groups, we can also look at the 2012s, where Ironbound is next to last in their NEAL league. Anyway, main point is that MLSN decisions are clearly not merit-based. For a NJ team to get in, Red Bulls have to approve.

Yes, they are very close. Not trying to knock any particular team. Just trying to argue in favor of a transparent, merit-based selection process, that's all.

It is based on the infrastructure of the club. FA is a one team wonder renting a great bubble for soccer camps lol
