That doesn’t make any sense… do you think before you type? As previously posted on here, with links to prove it, they are playing in both the top EDP flight AND the Acela league. The teams have been listed that are in the Acela league. The teams have been listed that are in the Acela league. The NEAL, is also a very strong league, but the competition overall is a little below the teams in the Acela. They are supposed to be upset they are playing in a stronger league than the one you suggested?

The schedules had already been released with them involved. I hope EDP sticks to their posted rules and doesn't refund them.....

              per the EDP Website:

              Refund Policies - Section 15.B
              • If a team withdraws before they are entered into a bracket, a $50 administrative fee will be assessed.
              • Once a team is entered into a bracket, teams withdrawing will be assessed a $100 administrative fee.
              • Once the schedule has been released, NO REFUNDS will be issued.

NYCFC Blue is in the CYL1 Eastern bracket of the EDP North Atlantic.

NYCFC White is in the CYL1 Western bracket of the EDP North Atlantic.

Looks like they are hiding from the real competition.

They will still play Philly Union and Red Bulls. So why travel far to play mostly subpar teams in the Acela and NEAL?

Yeah they will play friendlies vs RB and Philly Union and nobody will know the result of those games. Fa Black, Union and other EDP clubs will give them a run for their money. So I wouldn't say Subpar teams.

                          CSA Bergen and Newark question:

I think someone asked this a few weeks ago but I don’t think there was a solid answer - if Bergen and Newark have a combined 55 kids or so, how will the club manage the five teams (one Newark team in EDP plus two Bergen teams in Neal plus two Bergen teams in EDP)? 11 kids per team actually sounds good for playing time but it also seems lower than what these clubs usually do.

                          Thoughts?

Aside from creating a 3rd level Bergen team they have not communicated a thing, from a CSA parent.

The answer is they will continue to recruit kids and will pump out 14-15 kids per team. The only movement from NEAL to MLS Next will take place between Neal 1 and Neal 2 boys plus whatever new kids they recruit. The EDP teams will be separated from the talent pool and won't have a chance to move up.

Good one! As if their EDP brackets are so much more challenging, especially the B team one. I'm sure it's also tons of fun to constantly scrimmage the same 1-2 MLS clubs to stay "exclusive"
