With so many clubs leaving EDP and going to different leagues any idea what the top divisions will look like for those teams that are staying in EDP? When are the groups released?

TSF Academy, CSA North (Bergen), Ironbound, CSA Monmouth > North East Academy League
New York Red Bulls, Football Academy, Union Selecao, Match Fit > Acela Premiership
The ECNL boys website shows a Pre-ECNL League.. does STA also leave and go to that league this year?
The Bloomfield, AS Junior, FutbolTech and Liverpool teams no longer exist. Any other teams completely gone?

Morris Elite, PDA, Football Academy Silver, Plainfield Elite, SJEB Red, PSA Princeton are all that is left from the Premier 1 Red and Blue divisions. 19 teams down to 6. Looks like Premier 2 Red and Blue go from 17 teams down to 12 left.

I think neither of those teams were mentioned because they both stay where they were at. PDA was in EDP top flight last year and will be again next year. Real was in Acela last year and will be this year again. Both teams are in MLS Next at u13+. PDA doesn’t move to the North East Academy league this year because their “B” teams at u13+ are in ECNL where TSF, CSA Bergen and CSA Monmouth “B” teams are in North East Academy League. PDA doesn’t move to Acela this year either because they aren’t good enough.

PDA recruited and brought in at least 12 new players to make 2 new very good teams that are different than the EDP team last year. They told parents to prepare for the travel of Acela.

The applied team list for Acela is out already. The flights for EDP are out as well. PDA is not in Acela, as they shouldn’t be. They do have 2 teams in the top flight of EDP which is a much better spot for their level. The good news for PDA is that they can’t lost to Red Bull NY, Red Bull South, Liverpool, CSA Bergen, Union Selecao, Morris Elite or Bloomfield again because those teams aren’t in EDP. They can lose to Football Academy an STA again because they are back in EDP.

Union Selecao??? I thought they went to Cedar Stars Monmouth? How did they get into Acela?

They played last year as the 2010 "B" team in the North East Academy League 2nd flight down at CSA Monmouth against other 2010 "B" teams. Not sure if they are doing that again this year at 2010.. but I don't think so. They are definitely not the "A" or "B" team at 2011 down there and that isn't an option for them next year either.

I heard or read a while back CSA would have 3 Bergen teams (2 neal and 1 edp) and 1 Newark team but there is one more Bergen team on the prelim edp link.

They do have just below 50 players at 2011. 4 teams is feasible for sure. I think their third team and old 2nd team remain the same and they added a ton of new kids they promised the first team. 2nd team becomes the 3rd team and the 3rd team
be ones the 4th. I think the 1st and “2nd” team will be a player pool of the old first team and new promised kids to play as NEAL team 1 and 2. They will say what you want to hear to get you in the door.

Agree that the bergen 2011 group is a little under 50.

I thought they'd have 3 bergen teams and 1 newark team but if they have 4 bergen teams instead (and 1 newark team), I guess that means more minutes for the existing players unless they recruit a ton of new players before the season starts.
