Overall match fit is a smaller academy, but do have some strong teams. At the 2011 age group the mercer blue team is their top team. They are pretty solid and well coached. its summer teams and summer programs... not clubs regular teams. you wont get any sort of preview out of this weekend other than kids getting some touches in and having fun and getting ready for the season. also, the tournament format changed due to the heat index. 3 games at 30 minutes total really wont show you anything.Originally posted by Guest View PostComment

Red Bulls Central Select - summer team.. no actual red bull players.
NJ Nationals - Summer team.. not an actual team (they played at Greystone Cup last weekend)
Rahway JFC - Summer team .. not an actual team (they played at Greystone Cup last weekend)
Football Academy Silver - Summer team.. not the actual team - mix of players from in and out of the club (they played at EDP CGI 2 weekends ago)
NYSC white is their B team .. they wouldn't be in the top flight unless it was a summer mix of A team kids and kids from outside the club
lots of clubs just use their b team account to register teams for the summer because it does not matter and it isnt worth the paperwork trouble of creating new teams accounts to play a few games

With so many clubs leaving EDP and going to different leagues any idea what the top divisions will look like for those teams that are staying in EDP? When are the groups released?
TSF Academy, CSA North (Bergen), Ironbound, CSA Monmouth > North East Academy League
New York Red Bulls, Football Academy, Union Selecao, Match Fit > Acela Premiership
The ECNL boys website shows a Pre-ECNL League.. does STA also leave and go to that league this year?
The Bloomfield, AS Junior, FutbolTech and Liverpool teams no longer exist. Any other teams completely gone?
Morris Elite, PDA, Football Academy Silver, Plainfield Elite, SJEB Red, PSA Princeton are all that is left from the Premier 1 Red and Blue divisions. 19 teams down to 6. Looks like Premier 2 Red and Blue go from 17 teams down to 12 left.Comment
