Someone stated that Union would be playing MLS Next under CSA. 2010 is the age group for MLS Next. That’s why CSA Monmout 2010 was referenced. There is no 2011 MLS Next for next year. Last year Union played as the CSA Monmouth B team as well as EDP. Even if the played agin this year as the 2010 B team it would not be in MLS Next, it would be in the NEAL lot this past year.

not sure who you are saying has 2 strong EDP teams. CSA Monmouth and SI are different clubs. Bergen and Newark are also different clubs. Union is not added to any of the CSA clubs.

Actually Bergen does share players among A and B. My son played both teams this year and the B team had 4 guys from the A team.

Union is NOT playing MLS Next under CSA. CSA Monmouth has a solid 2010 team for next year. They brought a Very large portion of the CSA Staten Island 2010 team in. That will be the MLS Next team for CSA monmouth. Union will be in EDP.

Ironbound will be in the North East Academy League with CSA Bergen, CSA Monmouth and TSF.

But Union will be moving over to Cedar Stars Monmouth next season. that is a fact.

They needed a 2nd 2010 team last year and said what they needed to get Union to play. Coaches at CSA said this year that some players from Union will come and make it, but the entire team will not be taken in at CSA as the CSA Monmouth team. Union has a few good players on that team that will make it and a few players that aren’t top level and won’t make it. Just like a normal tryout.

Expect them to keep adding once people realize the EDP league won’t be the top level of competition anymore. Next year NEAL and Acela are both stronger leagues. 3 Liverpool players, 2 from former red bank…all were players left behind after their teams were dismantled. Ironbound?? Which PDA 0 10 from the Spring? That’s the best CSA Monmouth can currently bring in. If they are taking in Union like people were saying, it would be different. But I doubt it.

The Union team has a very good goalie and maybe 4 other very good players. the rest of the roster is not very good.

Not following your question, but they did move some kids up to A and down to B in the winter, if that's your question.

Bloomfield team went to FA as well so they are done.

That is crazy. They finished 6th but only gave up 12 goals..best in the league.
