True but academies do not take the players from rec. They have tryouts and then pick the best players. Bloomfield and other town teams do not.

It sure where you are from but the town teams near me all hold tryouts and take kids from surrounding towns. Not much different than academies.

I know Bloomfield does not. Same kids basically from day one.

Hi all. We are looking into couple clubs for next season. We are currently in club but looking to see how other clubs are. I think we missed tryouts for PDA North but does anyone know if PDA North is still looking to fills its teams/roster? Also any insight to why they’ve lost all their games so far?

Maybe they play for development instead of winning. Meaning rotating players so they can learn different positions, give equal playing time to all the boys.

Seems like they have abandoned the boys program at the younger ages at PDA. Do they even have u10, u9, u8 teams anymore? The u11 Puyol teams looks abysmal compared to how they looked in years past. In the Fall they beat STA and Liverpool for their only 2 wins. This spring both teams now beat PDA. Seems like other teams are developing and passing them by while they are going backwards. Has there been a lot of player turnover at PDA?

Watched PDA play, the same as last season, seems like no development at all.

                  CSA 6 - Bloomfield 1....that should make JFF's head spin a bit.

well, their number 10 from the fall now plays up a year with the u12s. I guess he was really important to the team.

He was probably as important the CM for bloomfield. Without him they would lose every game but still hold their own like PDA for this instance

Hmm. Is it they’re more individual talent vs team talent. Meaning not playing as a team but individually.

I’ve seen who you are referring to play. While they are a very good player, they were just another kid on that team. Top 3/4 kid on the team for sure, but not at all like that person is carrying their team. They won before he joined and would win at same rate after he leaves I assume. Not that big of a difference maker. The defense of the Bloomfield team seems to be their strong point. They only gave up 1 goal to FA Black, 1 goal to STA and 1 goal to Red Bull NY. They did get exposed by CSA Bergen. I did not see that game but expect CSA scored on some set pieces in that game as they seem very dangerous on those.

I actually went to the game. The kid is skilled but overall not a team player. he just tried to dribble everyone most of the time and was double teamed and would eventually lose the ball. Might even hurt the team more than help.

Let's see how Bloomfield does against Red Bulls South. If they can keep it close then, Bloomfield is the real deal. If not, just another nice town team like Union, who lost like 7-1 against South.
