Agree to disagree with you here.. I have seen pretty much every top 20 team in the state play including Red Bull South. They are a very, very good team, but I would still rate CSA Bergen above of them. As to maybe 1-2 kids from CSA and FA that could "challenge for a spot" ... there are plenty of kids on multiple different teams beyond the 2 you listed that could jump into that Red Bull squad and knock players off the roster completely... players that have been offered spots and declined... That is why red bull coaches are calling and asking players to come join. humility goes a long way.

I think you're both right in different ways. RB actually doesn't care about winning in the slightest, so comparing records of their teams to others is a waste of time. They are literally only in the business of developing soccer talent and then potentially selling it on. You are right that there are plenty of very good kids around the state that could challenge for a spot on one of their teams right now, but everyone has different reasons for saying no thanks at different times. The beauty is that if your kid is good enough, there is always a way to get in to the academy eventually with the issue being a lot of parents think their kid is very good but don't know how they really are in context. Also, kids develop at different rates at different times. U10 your kid could be amazing, but just be average at U15. It happens. Also, your kid can be amazing but not willing to put in the extra work and have the dedication that the other poster mentioned. It's not just about being good at soccer.
