Good effort was put into this! But remember- MLS next clubs Youth talent back then is completely different from what they will have soon. Our Youth soccer talent has improved. Even if the 50% number is correct, you will see a huge spike in that number soon.

I also found a list for CSA Monmouth. I was not expecting their list to be very good as I know they have had a lot of turnover recently. Very impressive as well.

Not sure. No results posted yet. Maybe the same team flighted into a more accurate bracket. The other AS Junior team have no business in the flight they are in. Can’t be much fun getting crushed every week.

We continuely fail to understand that soccer is mostly mental and IQ and then of course you need a level of athleticsm. Not the other way around.
Also you can wax poetic about 1994, that team has an automatic bid for host country. This team would destroy that team if coached correctly. The 2002 team was obviously the best for making the quarter finals.

That makes for just as strong an argument that their IQ is just as high as their athleticism. Poor coaching decisions and Klinsmann’s dependency on “euro born” players set this country back. Actually the US is doing it right now by cultivating players here and selling them off as they mature. Not bringing in every kid that was born on a military base in Germany.

Pulisic was in Germany at 16. Gio Reyna never played in EDP, Josh Sargent and so forth. millions and millions of young kids play here with all the infastructure they need, yet american coaches Do not produce any of that talent you speak of. just based on number of kids playing you think you would get lucky a few times. but its extremely rare americ produces that talent.
CONCACAF is a terrible league and all the teams play the same way, hit first ball second…I think many of the coaches come from that style so you see more of it. Here in NJ anyone with any sort of accent can get a job now as a soccer coach as long as you get an F license.
