So here is a legitimate question.
Would rather your kid be on the B squad for FA or CSA in 2nd flight or on ASJE in the 1st flight?
those are the boys that should be switching over to ASJE for quality minutes against quality teams.
    agree or disagree?

You can't really call it quality minutes if your team is getting destroyed and you are holding on for dear life. What can a player learn when the team as a whole cannot handle the competition?

I think both the CSA b and the FA b teams are both better quality soccer than ASJE.

Do you think they are trying to develop the 2012s or is it that they do not have the players at the 2011 level so they are just using the 2012s? If they had a enough good 2011 players they would not be bringing up their 2012s. They used to have a good 2011 team I think a couple years back. What happened to those players? Did they leave? Why?

FA Silver and CSA Bergen Pre-Academy 2 are both already in the top flight playing against quality teams, and winning/competing in those games. The question you posed does not make any sense. Premier 1 Blue and Premier 1 Red are both the top flight of teams. The top Red Bull team (South), SJEB and Match Fit are all top 5 teams in the state and play in the Premier 1 Red which you are trying to imply is the 2nd flight for your argument. If you were to take the top half of the Blue Flight and the top half of the Red flight that would be a proper top single flight, but that is not how EDP works. Of the 8 remaining teams left in the State Cup, Match Fit, SJEB, CSA Monmouth and Dutchmen Arsenal are from the Premier 1 Red Flight, FA Black and CSA Bergen Pre-Academy are from the Premier 1 Blue. PSA Princeton and Ironbound are the other 2 remaining State Cup teams and they are both from the actual second flights. (Premier 2 Red and Premier 2 Blue)

AS Junior will not be in the top flight in the spring as they are not being competitive in their matches. 3 goals for and 18 goals against in 3 matches. They will be dropped down to the 2nd flight. Everyone agrees they (ASJE) play a good style of soccer, but turning up to matches and losing 8-0 is no good for the development of either team. To answer the question you asked, I am sure most parents would want their kid on a team playing good coemption and competing in games, not losing 0-5, 1-8, 2-5 weekly.

Why has Futboltech forfeited all of their EDP league games for this season?

They lost 1-5 to NY Red Bull South, lost 1-2 to Match Fit Howard and lost 0-5 to SJEB Red so far this season. When did they forfeit?

Dutchmen have canceled a few game too, that is not good for that division. Anyone know what's going on with those two clubs? How did you hear/know they canceled?

This is a great post. The poster in question's question assumes that the only "top flight" is Premier I Blue. It may have been for last year U10 EDP, but there are excellent teams in Premier I Red. I would agree that these teams are much closer to equal ground vs Blue comparing them vs this time last year. I like the Red and Blue approach for both flight I and II. Spring should be interesting for flighting, if EDP bases it on coaching requests and mostly performance, then Liverpool, STA, AS Junior, Dutchmen FC, CSA Monmouth, Futboltech would be in danger of the "drop zone" to Premier II. PSA Princeton, Princeton FC Inter, Ironbound Force, NY Alleycats, MFA Black, Real Jersey FC are all in the "promotion" hunt to Premier I.

Premier II Blue is very close but FC Europa and MFA Montclair could go down. Premier II Red Vistula, NJ Premier and Future SA are a the foot of the table. What yeams could come up to Premier II this Spring? CSA Hudson Valley, FC Berna, Copa Millstone, Hoboken City from Premier III and Ocean Twp and Jackson SC from Mid Atalntic Blue while Westfield, CAPS Flemington & Cohansey Chelsea are making strong cases to be Premier II team.

Also as of noon 10/7 FUTBOLTECH CHELSEA has forfeited their games - does anyone have the scoop?

I think Dutchmen has only had to move one game so far. I am pretty sure that was do to them needing to play their State Cup round of 16 game by a required date.

I think, being so early in the season, one needs to read the tables a little more closely than just seeing who's currently on the top and bottom. Some teams have played more games than others (gaining more points) and some games are more competitive than others (easy wins, etc.).

Yes of course, that is obvious...but the table doesn't lie.

lol we know - we are working on an updated JFF list after this weekend - EDP Cup and Explorers Cup will add lots of weight to a mid-year list.

Hoping for FA to win this weekend to justify keeping FA #1 despite losing to a bottom of the table team.
