CSA played a very aggressive game and were able to control the midfield and win many of the secondary balls. They perfectly executed a gameplan of high press and constant longballs, which the Red Bulls couldn't adapt to. The Red Bulls game of press and play through rarely materialized because CSA booted the ball downfield before Red Bulls could press. A couple of lucky bounces on corners led to two CSA goals and then another from open play, a long kick naturally.
Not a pretty game but a very effective plan to win from CSA. Red Bulls have usually beaten other kickball teams (which CSA used to not be) but this particular version of Red Bulls will need to play with much more intensity in the future since most teams use the same strategy against them.

Does anyone have the scoop: is The FA currently interchanging the same group of players between the black and silver teams like was discussed earlier in this thread?

I looked at the schedule and Union played 11:15 in Morris Plains and back in Union for 2pm game.

STA is coaches would do anything to win at all cost.

Ok Union dad lol if tournaments don't prove anything why did you ditch the AS Jr game to go to a tournament? Why did you go to TX?
If the team can't handle two games in one day just like all the rest of the teams then don't sign up for it. But please dont make excuses with or without a game before the Red Bulls game Union was never going to win that game.

I do agree with how pathetic most are and become Keyboard Cowboys. The RedBulls will fall apart in about 2 weeks. The top talent will move up in age and they will mix and match
teams. Union would not have won that game too much speed on the field and Union style of soccer works against most teams except the high press that RedBulls have taught these boys. It works 99% of the time. Union plays from the back
100% of the time with little adjustments to break the press. The have added some kids that are head scratchers. Extremely slow and try to use
skills that work on a Futsal court
but not on bigger fields.
I think they lost one of the stronger players
to RedBulls that may make them vulnerable down the road in tough games. The team is still
top quality.
-STA is not very good. players are slow to the ball and soccer IQ lowest I’ve seen of any STA age group.
-FA quality all around good team.
parents are idiots but kids have no choice they didn’t pick there parents
-CSA North falling fast. They need to revamp entire program, maybe the weakest of all the coaching staffs in top flight.
jr elite- prob the best coaches in the area. Teaches the kids respect and how to play
