What a ridiculous statement, clearly trying to be some sort of passive aggressive observation. I’m sure just like every other age group NJ is on the upper 25% of overall talent in the country. NJ has a load of talent in this age group spread throughout a lot of teams. These two teams at least had the courage to go to a tournament like this.

In a few years when the talent starts to all end up on the same team you will see very different results. This weekend is the MLS next tournament in the same place. Look how many NJ teams there are. Also look at the top 100 clubs in the US at least 5 clubs from NJ…foolish comment.

You can't compare Union Selecao vs FA Black. It's like comparing a Ferrari with a Honda Civic with a muffler...

There are no courage points for a team like Union when all they did was avoid the top competition in the state. They played up against mediocre teams and always seem to be playing in different tournaments than the ones the top 2011 teams are competing in. No excuses left for them as in the fall all 2011 teams will play 9v9 so there's no where to hide. They were invited to the Supercopa for what accomplishment exactly? Hopefully loosing all their games in TX will be a wake up call for the parents with talented kids that still remain at Union to find a better long term option for their kids because whatever they are being taught isn't helping their kids.

        talk about foolish?

Before you call someone foolish take a look at yourself, it's clear that lack of courage was not the driving factor in the teams not going to TX.

This is a discussion for 2011's, not for the MLS Next tournament.

It was meant as a discussion point, nothing passive or aggressive in actuality.

Really ? You can't compare Union vs FA in any capacity. What top team has Union beaten lately ? At least FA won two games at the Supercopa Union won 0. If you are that delusional Union parent and getting destroyed in TX wasn't enough wait till the fall because there's no where the coach can hide his team and you will regret not having looked at a better program with the correct coaching for your kid. In two yeats MLS next will be here and your kid will be stuck playing EDP and playing against high caliber travel teams...

Union can't be compared to FA. Union is a real academy.

Philadelphia Union is a real Academy.

The Union they are referring to is just a town team with a parent coach. (obviously better than most other local town teams)

Why former parent? I thought that whole team has been the same team for a few years.

In a couple of years the majority of the boys won't even be playing soccer due to the pressure the parents are placing on them.
