If STA charges x for the trip and people are willing to pay it, more power to them. NJ teams are allowed and will play in VA. Same for MD, FL, NY, NC, SC and Canadian teams that have been accpeted to play in the Jeff Cup.Originally posted by Unregistered View Post

Firstly, I'll say I don't have a boy or a kid in this age group (I like reading all of the topics on here), but I will throw it out there that unless you're on this team you might not know the circumstances. Sometimes younger teams like these end up going because there are a significant portion of older siblings also going. Sometimes the coach gives it as an option and explains they won't be in the top flight, but parents still want to do it. Sometimes parents push for stuff like this without understanding what they're getting into. It could also be none of the above and the club is just grabbing $$$$$. Hard to make a firm call without someone from the team weighing in. Btw I did notice sta 09s at least had a team in the top flight. I didn't check all the age groups though.Comment

I don't think STA has been ducking anyone in this age group. Maybe they don't always get the result they want, but over the past year how have they ducked anyone? They played in the top flight of this fall season EDP Futures North Blue. They were put in the 2nd flight of the EDP Cup fall with the 6 teams in the top flight probably being better based on past results, so they were flighted correctly. They were in the top Flight of the EDP Fall Kickoff. STA were in the APC Premier Cup in March which had some top teams from NJ, Maryland and Pennsylvania. (STA was with CSA Bergen, CSA Monmouth, PDA Puyol, Lower Merion, Pipeline, Baltimore Union) Last Fall they were in the Top flight of the EDP Cup Fall. Last fall they played in the Alliance League where their only loss was to PDA Hibernian and they had wins over PDA Puyol and Union Selecao Blue. They also won the NJ Indoor Cup over Ironbound. How could they have played any tougher of a schedule?Comment

Teams do not get "put" on lower brackets at tournaments it's the coach that puts them there. Every tournament they attended in the summer of 2020 going forward was either a weak tournament and didn't go where the top competition was playing or B they went to a legit tournament and asked to be put in the easier bracket. Morris Elite and STA should start their own league they have 3 or 4 2011 teams each so they can make it easier for each other to post facebook pics when they win easy games lolOriginally posted by Unregistered View Post

From EDP North Gray - relegate Pro FC PSA and South Hackensack with 0 wins and CSA Hudson Valley who had 2 wins.
From EDP North Navy - relegate Hillsborough who had 0 wins. NJ Premier who had 1 win. Foundation and STA who had 2 wins.
From EDP North Orange - Relegate Passaic who had 0 wins. Milburn and Bergen Football who had 2 wins.
From EDP Central Red - Relegate USA Pro and World Class who had 0 wins. RCD Espanyol who had 2 wins.
From EDP Central Blue - Relegate CSA Staten Island who had 0 wins. Holmdel NJX who had 1 win. Jackson and Ocean who had 2 wins.
From EDP Central Red - Relegate Hopewell Valley who had 0 wins. Jersey Shore BOCA Jr who had 1 win.
