There is a history or walking a line between aggresive and dirty play.
For the most part, the refs tolerate dirty play at the younger age groups, but that will change.
Absolutely not the first time their staff has been told to leave or have been confrontational.
My kid played the Union 2011 team a bunch of times in different leagues, tournaments and even when playing for different teams. IMO, it's wrong to say anything negative about an 8 or 9 year old regardless of what they do on a soccer field.

However, that team's parents and coaches are disgraceful.

I'm surprised the EDP people continue to allow that team to compete in the league.

      Funny

Funny how union sc, which is basically a town travel team, which has volunteer coaches, charge their kids next to nothing to play and train multiple times a week, roster mostly late 2011 and 2012 players, and without a doubt play the nicest style of soccer you'll see at this level, are hated on by stuck up, uneducated people, who have never played the game at a high level nor know what the game is like at a high level or in europe. No wonder the us cant develop any quality players. Ignorant parents, greedy for profit academie , and to much reliance on althetism to earn results, rather than acuatlly educating their players on how the game is played.

Wow you really hit nail on head....that seems to be a trend in the youth soccer world here. Kind of sad.

If the score was reported incorrectly, EDP will chage it.

Thanks Union parent or coach, deflect from video footage of you setting a good example which completely contradicts what you have said above ! Anyway you can now be moved down to at least 9-15 in the JFF rankings that you guys created. A club which is so focused on winning that when they don’t win kids and parents get out of control. Experience’s are always the same against this team when they are winning it’s fine but when they are not the game changes like the parents. It’s U10 soccer get a grip guys. At least at theses so called other Academies coaches are setting good example win lose or tie and installing life lessons into their players. Rather than teaching them to curse, boo referees and look up to Volunteer’s who get sent off because he does not agree with a decision which cost the team a goal. I blame the parents who actually condone this behavior and expose their children to it !!

Funny stuff right there.. I think the funniest and most pathetic parents are the ones willing to talk to an 8yr old player because they don't like the way they are treating their baby. Pretty sad and embarrassing for a coach to have to deal with having parents like that on their team. But the academies have no choice because those parents are forking 4k to keep the club running. I think coaches have the hardest job and having whiney stuck up big mouths is probably worst than losing a match 🤣

Arguments on message boards are great and we are always for informed discussion. We can 100% confirm Union SC or Selecao 2011 has NO association with the just for fun rankings. Also, we respect Union Selecao Red as they are also competing in the 2010 EDP Fall League. However, we cannot use those results for the 2011 rankings. The rankings are a fun and non-official way to follow the progress of 2011 boys teams until the other "official" rankings on various sites are "published".

Club staff behaviour is solely up for interpretation. What is seen and coached as aggressive smart, and physical play can be seen as dirty or unsportmanlike by others. We want all 2011 teams to continue progressing as the laws and trends of youth soccer change faster Barca players in the transfer window.

I just saw this and chocked up laughing.

Please.... I watched the game as another rival teams parent in the league just working out what the fa was all about and can confirm it’s center court green I know everyone knew this but wanted to see the roster myself at their first game. While watching a union player called someone a “f*ing Englishman” no wonder why the parents shouted from the the fa side it was very clear from the car park. If union parents want to defend this action go ahead please explain yourselves on why this abuse should he tolerated towards a 9 year old. This is the worst comment I have ever heard from a child in youth sports and between my kids I’ve attended over 100 games.... I think I know the moment the Union parents are referring to when a parent shouted at the coach but this was moments after a Union player clearly said the above.

I’m sure the league will eventually want this footage and maybe it’ll pick up sound

Let's say it hypothetically happened (fictitious story), the correct course of action is for a grown adult to try to intimidate an 8 yr old? Now that's a bad ass dude right there, picking on a little kid. You already confirmed that the FA grown adult was abusing the 8 yr old Union player so there you have it. Weak little men that don't have the balls to talk to the coach or the ref but won't hesitate to attack a little kid. Nobody gives a rat's ass about the 2011 bracket since there are no rankings so this is obviously one of the tough FA male parents trying to stirr up drama and justifying their abusive behavior towards a minor. Tough guys 🤫

My son played against this Union team twice in Super Y this summer and then again earlier this month at a tournament. They were playing up a year all three times. On one hand, they are a decently talented team. However, my son was punched intentionally when the ref wasn’t looking one game, they spit on his teammate in another (especially classy with covid) and in all games they used the n word and f word like those were the only verbs and nouns they knew. I am not a disgruntled parent. They never beat my son’s teams. I even understand having to play more aggressive against older boys... this was not that.

This is very consistent with what I saw these players do the bunch of times I saw them play.

I disagree with one comment above - I don't think they're "decently" talented - I think they're extremely talented. But that's why their behavior (not just players - coaches and parents too) is so sad to see.

Again this team has had no issues until This weekend when they are finally losing a game or back to the red bulls game when the game gets close to them losing. Volunteers or not this team is out of control !

NYRB Red, PDA Puyol, CSA Bergen White II, Valencia Black had strong wins.
The FA Black showed moxie by defeating Union Selecao Red.
We included the current bottom 3 North Blue teams as the competition in that flight is at an extremely high level. In our opinion they should be on the Week 3 list.
Biggest jumps: The FA Silver, The FA Black, Elite Plainfield Strikers.
                                Dropped Out:

We have new teams the top 25:
The FA Silver, Mt Olive, Marlboro Union Blue
                                Low flight but honorable mentions:
