This is a parent who doesn’t have their daughter play for either. Both very successfully on the field for their clubs as well.

Can any of you actually be useful and provide the people's names? I'm interested too, and I don't know what these initials are.

There are different trainers who are great at different aspects of the game and training different ages. How old is your kid?

What makes a great soccer player or one that stands out goes beyond training with a team 3 days a week. It’s the individual skills that they develop. Playing in pickup games, trying new things and just kicking a ball on their own against a wall and dribbling around cones then kicking into a goal. A trainer can correct mistakes and even show you specific drills tailored for you but the truth is no two players are alike. My point is no trainer Can change a player but rather either the player has it or not. I have seen parents pay a lot of money to trainers to improve their kids but a trainer can only do so much for that player. You cannot teach athleticism, speed, quickness. Either you have it or not. You should pick a trainer who has a good rapport with players and could inspire the player to believe in themselves and give them drills to work on individually. You must pick a trainer who is good at one to one training which is different than with a team. All important attributes to finding the right trainer for a player.

I think you are absolutely right on about the pick up games. Best thing for a player in my opinion. Let them develop their own style and be as creative as they want without worrying about making a mistake. Wish there was more of that going on.
Also futsal is great for them.
